To be honest this is highly unlikely, yes Serena was injured in the Sf of addidas international, but serena was probably staying safe, pulled out just in case she made it worse. As for conchita, well she had a good win over Elena but thats about it, a loss to brandi isn't very convincing that she can beat Serena.

Iva Vs Arantxa..... Very very tough match. Iva having shoulder problems could help arantxa here, Arantxa's form at the hopman cup was good, but a loss to nagyova in 3 sets isnt. I feel this could go either way.

Patty Vs Monica?!! - Obviously Monica is going to win here with ease. Patty isn't the Patty of 98 or even 99, sorry Patty

Schnyder beating Seles is possible, but I think unlikely.

Anna, Justine I don't think would be an upset either way as Anna is a former top 10er coming back from injury.

I think Virginie Razzano beating Martina Hingis is another possibility. I don't think it will happen, but Razzano is a rising star and has taken Marti to three sets before.
