it seems that the period will just fall short of 6 months....
but that is assuming she can recover completely by then
She probably won't come back until the Advanta Championship and the WTA champs because she said she wasn't going to rush back to the tour. It WOULD be over six months when Serena comes back at the Australian because she hasn't played since Wimbledon.

I don't think that they would let SERENA possibly come into Oz as a #16 seed and meet and beat Kim or JHH in the 2nd or 3rd round.

SERENA will have a protected ranking.

what's your point? WTA champs and Advanta Champ
are during November, and Australian Open starts at the end of Dec,

Serena's last match was at the end of June, and
Austrlian Open starts at the end of December,
that's six months, but i think it's a week short

The Australian 2004 is from Jan 19-Feb 1. My point is that I expect her to come back in Late October, but if she did wait until the Australian it would be more than six months.

cool, then let's await for her return at Australian Open,
didnt realize that the Open was pushed back
that way we'll be having two #1's playing the Slam,
plus, i dont see her playing indoors soon,
it's not the first time she has skipped WTA champ,
