Just looked at the presumed entry list in the Wimbledon thread and it looks like Virginie Razzano may have missed the cut-off by a few places. I honestly hope the Wimbledon committee smile down on Mlle Razzano, I really can't think of a better candidate at the moment for a wild card, given that there are likely to be 5 or so spare once the Brits have got theirs, and she can play well on grass as well as clay! Much better value than Ashleigh Barty, natch!!!!!

I think it probably won't happen just on the basis of this one win but if Virginie can back it up by getting to the 4th round I would say she does have an excellent shot at a WC and, yes, it would be deserved.
