i have to say that i really don't like them. especially because i'm a power player training on clay, it is definately tougher for me with the bigger balls that they have been talking about implementing
I think they should implement them. We need a new way to injure the players.
This is brilliant, isn't it? They make the rackets bigger and lighter, so that they can be swung harder and make explosive impact, thus injuring the players. When we decide the impact makes the ball move too fast, we make the ball bigger, thus compounding the injury issue.
I love technology at work.
BTW, standards for size and weight of tennis rackets would be about 10 times easier to enforce than those for golf clubs or baseball bats.
I tried them, it is really a contest who would miss first. I just could not get ball pass my hitting partner, no matter how hard I hit. But it does make it (IMHO) somewhat easier coming to the net and winning points there.
