how to watch WTA matches in the UK

Hi all,

My broadband deal is ending soon and I'm considering a Sky broadband package (broadband, TV UHD, Sky Sports and Netflix Standard for £65), so that I can watch WTA matches. The alternative is NOW Sports but the subscription is very expensive as a standalone package.

Does Sky Sports include replays and on-demand for tennis matches though? I believe NOW Sports does include replays through their "bonus" streams?!

Alternatively, is there a way to subscribe to WTA TV from the UK and if yes, how do I go about it? I'm not interested in ATP matches as they're too long and I have limited time to watch.

Thanks a lot.

I also use bet365 for most of my tennis needs, albeit these days the German instead of the international version. Also like others said with one small deposit ever. You need to have a bit of money on your account and you will probably need to make a bet a year, but it can be a very small bet.

Quality cannot compete with a HD TV feed, you will probably encounter slightly more technical problems (stuck streams, but this is rare and somewhat depends on the tournament) than with TV and there is no commentary the vast majority of time. The only exception to this is really the men's USTA challenger circuit. That sometimes gets Mike Cation and others. That's something to keep in mind if you are interested in more traditional broadcasts. If the tournaments are properly TV produced you will usually get the world feed video including replays, different angles and everything, but without the world feed commentary.

On the plus side you get full choice of match as every single WTA tour match streamed from qualies to the final unless the site messes up and forgets a match. Even including WTA125 level, which otherwise is not really available. So that's really nice.

The WTA streams also tend to have a fullscreen option there, although I personally use the Firefox picture-in-picture feature most of the time. Firefox's PIP also sometimes gives you a limited ability to rewind the stream yourself to an extend.

The biggest gripe with the coverage since it went to Sky is that are overly selective in what matches they have available on demand. Every match involving a British Player will be there for the top players most of their matches will be there but apart from that it's very sparse.

Thanks all!

@maloofhoof Do you mind giving me the names of the providers' websites? For both vpn and wta tv. Thanks.
I currently use Total AV on my ipad, subscription for whole year is not that expensive, wta tv can be found at:

I recommend setting country to netherlands or belgium, both work for me

I use bet365 sometimes but of course no replays and it ends as soon as the match ends - sometimes a few seconds before the video. It’s SD only of course. The only place for replays is WTA tv. I use the Opera browser on my iPad with a free vpn and mirror to my tv or just watch on my iPad. I do have Sky as well. It is good if you are watching live but you can only record the broadcast channel.
What none of them do - which we could with Prime Video- is join late, pause or rewind live matches. You can with WTA tv replays but not live. WTA tv can be a bit slow getting the replays on the site. I signed up using PayPal and it was about £50-£60 for the year I think. Also has some old matches (but again, not as good as Prime where I had 3 years of matches with my faves saved. The replays on WTA tv are mostly finals only. Eurosport has more - pretty much any RG or AO matches from the last 12 months

I've just subscribed to WTA TV - just for a single event pass to try it out - but they seem to have all Miami Open matches on replay, for the current event. Are you sure it's only finals on replay if you buy the annual subscription? As that would be a deal breaker for me.

WTA tv only operates legitimately in countries where there is no other broadcast partner. As Sky is the broadcaster for the uk - and parts of Europe - you have to use a VPN

In summary - betting streamers are cheap. One deposit in setting up the account but live only - no replays, no commentary and low video quality.

Sky - broadcast is good, decent pundits but heavy focus on Brits. Multicourt coverage, but few replays (think they have finals and rerun them frequently). Pricey £20+ a month. Now tv is available as a streamer but I don’t know much about it.

WTA tv - vpn or browser with a vpn needed to sign up and login but reasonable price and replays available

Oh and don’t forget, RG and Aus Open are on Eurosport - which is excellent but full coverage and streaming you will have to pay for!

I actually paid for Eurosport and was really sad with the amount of tennis you can watch there. Does WTA tv have a stream of any ITF tournaments?
