I need some help from locals for this, I need directions from the Airport as im flying to Birmingham and I also need directions to New Street train station for the way back.

Any idea how far it is to airport/train station?

There is a train station at the air port i think.

Get a train to new street then get a taxi from new street to the tournament. Costs about £5. for the taxi

There is a train-link from Birmingham International to Birmingham New Street station.
it doesnt take long from Airport to New Street.

and to get back to New Street station, just catch a bus back on Bristol Street, cost about £1.20 i think), bus #61, 62. 63 stop outside train station.

you can catch the bus from Corporation Street in the City Centre

takes 5 mins in bus from Station to where you get off.

Be careful about which way you enter Sir Harry's Road: it crosses a main road, so you don't want to waste time by going down the wrong half!

The train station isn't directly linked to the Airport physically, however there is a free monorail that links to the train station. The train station next to the airport is Birmingham International, and you need to get to Birmingham New Street...then follow Boiled Eggs instructions, because he knows what he's talking about when it comes to DFS Classic :yeah:

So is New Street Station the main Station like where I will get off when I'm coming from London? Then I go outside and catch the 61, 62, or 63 bus to Tournament? It's just 5 minutes from Station? Is Cadbury World close by too?
My mom and sister will be going there

yes thats the main station
but the buses arent just outside the station.
there are a few places you can get them.
when you get thru ticket barrier you'll see a Burger King, and near there is an escalator, go up them and turn left. You are inside a shopping mall.
go straight for a bit, then turn left again........ straight on and then right.
you'll see a McDonalds.
just opposite the Big Mc, you'll see steps going down.... go down them and on that street you can catch the bus (need to find that stop with 61, 62, 63)

Cadbury World is about 10mins drive away(3 miles) from Edgbaston.

To get there by bus, if you get back to the Bristol Road for the Number 61 towards Selly Oak(get off at Sainsburys) then catch 11A towards Bournville then you should get there ok. I think you want the stop just after Sycamore Road on your left hand side. but best to just ask the driver when to get off the bus. Most of them are polite enough and will let you know which is the right stop to get off.

As for bus prices, it's now £1.40 a trip unless you take a Daysaver for £3.00(As many buses as you like in a day as long as they are WM Travel buses). Better to get that type of ticket if you intend to take more than 2 buses in a day. There are also no restrictions on travelling during peak hours.

Was seriously contemplating helping you with info you requested, but saw your derogatory comments about 'Brummies'! So my polite advice is STAY AWAY! Your presence is not welcome or required!

for cadbury world the easiest thing is, get a train straight to bornville from new st. Get the train going either to longbridge or to redditch. They are the same train and they go through bornville. It is well worth a visit. Same side of Birmingham as the DFS too so its not complex to get too

Also careful not to miss sir harrys road, its conceled and hard to see so you wont know where to get off.... Just make sure you dont go past the university, if you see it, you know you have gone too far!
