I live in the NY area (Northern NJ; 15 minutes outside of upper Manhattan) and it is drizzling right now, but there are storms moving in from PA and should be here in a couple of hours.

I don't want to spoil all the fun, but expect to see little to no tennis today and rain is in the forecast until Thursday (according to local radio).

why can't they just build a retracting roof over arthur ashe....seriously.
There has been talk about that, but the earliest you can expect a retractable roof is 2006, and I am being optomistic.

This sucks ass. Today I got out of class at 11am, and was supposed to get to see all of my favorites play today, culminating with Juan Carlos tonight as my last day of freedom before school really starts up. Argh this is maddening. I hope rain doesn't ruin this US Open.
