.....have switched allegiance to Juju in 2003??

I'll put up my hand. I only started to be much of a Juju fan at the AO this year, maybe a bit earlier. The USO roooooooly clinched it for me.

Marti was up there just behind by biggest favourites, and I guess Juju has kinda taken her place.

I have too! She was always my 2nd fave player, and I had been following her since early 2001, so it seemed like a natural progression once Martina left the game. I have to say my support has been amply rewarded by her results too! Allez!!

While I do applaud Justine's gutsy performances in winning her two Grand Slams and more recently the Swisscom. tournament, as a Marti fan I find no replacement for her in the WTA today, I will root for Justine and Kim but in comparing careers, personalities, charisma there was only one "gal" who ever captured the very essense of a "star player" for me and that was "Martina Hingis"!

How many Marti fans know she was in attendence at the Tampa Bay Lightning vs the Atlanta Thrashers game last night? The NHL hockey team in Tampa Florida. Couldn't help but notice, I'm not a Hingis fan but I didn't want to start a thread or anything. She was shown in the crowd there watching. So she's back in FL for whatever reason right now.

Martina is back in the states on vacation for now. She said she intends to visit Disneyworld and Universal Florida (where she has never been before because of her tennis schedule). She also mentioned she wanted to catch some NHL games while in this country.


She will be at Staples center for the year end championships, working as a commentator for Eurosport.

I watched our local Sportsnet this a.m. and found it interesting that Martina's old flame Pavel Kurbina did score the winning goal in overtime..and now I find out that Martina was there...ironic eh! Whether or not he knew she was in attendance is questionable (maybe he got her the tickets) but she is vacationing in Saddlebrook where she has a home at the moment but as far as she and Kurbina being back together I doubt that very much, she seems to be committed to Stefan Egger at the moment!! :hearts

Why don't she take her ass to Disney, and just go see some Florida Panthers games instead of the Lightning. Besides her boyfriend Mr Ski Instructor is with her, so I'm 100% sure nothings going on with her and my man. If she knows what's best for her, she'll leave him alone.... I'll kick her ass back to Switzerland myself if I have to. Who in the US wants her here anyway? pifffffffff
