Hmmmm this feels awfully coincidental that the opponent just happened to be injured in a match that will likely determine Eugène'$ acceptance into AO qualies. Nevertheless, well done to the Canadian for literally saving her season this week :worship:. Top five watch out :scared:.

Uh? There's 128 players in the main draw and 128 players in the qualifying draw. She was 218th in the live ranking before this match. Eugenie was going to Melbourne regardless of today's result.

The big question mark is what will she do if she flops in Auckland and Melbourne. She could be out of the top 300.

AO Qualies cut off is usually around 240 and she was already well in before this tournament. What you’re implying literally makes zero sense. 😂😂😂

Eugenie had a bit of luck but it’s good to see her go beyond the 2nd round, even if it’s not the way she probably wanted. She needs consecutive matches, badly.

Okay calm down people, I read in some other thread that this match would determine whether she gets into qualies or not but I was joking anyway.
