This is the 5th consecutive week of tennis she's playing since she came back AFTER been off the tour for over 3 years.

I'm not putting down the final loss to this and I haven't seen it but how was she moving? Was she lethargic?

She definitely needs to rest in order to be 100% ready for Dubai. Don't forget she could still play a top-10 player in the 1st or 2nd rounds!

To be fair to Martina, I'm sure she didn't expect to be defeated Sharapova and reach the semifinals of Grand Slams.

She's going to have two nice weeks of rest and that will be plenty for her to recharge her batteries for Dubai.

I mentioned it before and everyone wrote it off
:hugs:

I think that we're so used to seeing Martina playing week in, week out in the late 90's/early 2000's that we feel almost like she's a robot and take it for granted.

I hope she gets rest and stay clear of injuries.

I wish she was taking a few more weeks off but I realise that she wants to stay match tough.
