Hello Marti fans!
I've been a poster of this board already for a time, but I never really cared about those Player Forums.
Well, my name is Caio Braz ( ), I'm 14, Male, Brazilian, suntanned and.... A MARTI ADDICTED!!!!
I've been supporting Martina since I saw my first tennis match. Davenport def. Hingis in the OZ Open 2000. Even though Martina lost, I got enchanted with her beautiful smile and face, and very impressed with her game (I didn't know very much about tennis by the way).
I started building websites about her on the net. I first started with Martina Brasil, a very beautiful website about her, in portuguese. Later, I closed it because I was so dedicated to the page but I got really small return, cause I had kind of 10 visits a day only and that was pretty disappointing to me.
URL: www.martinabrasil.cjb.net (visit if you want, but it isn't updated since the German Open)
Then, I closed Martina Brasil and spent the rest of the year designing Martina pages, but never really published them. I went from Brazil to NY just to watch Marti at the US Open. She lost that epic match against Venus Williams and I think it hurt more on me than on her ( ). Even though she suffered that hurting loss, I kept supporting her, like a true fan.
In the Australian Open 2001, completing one year of addiction, I opened Martina [email protected], one of the most beautiful sites of our princess. I was really dedicated to it. I would spend many nights recording videos of her matches, updating the site every single hour I could. And I had kind of 150 visits a day, so it was at least worthwhile. Then, from nothing, my interested started to fall and I stopped updating the site. You can still visit it at http://martinam.virtualave.net - it's really worthwhile. Then, Martina started to lose lose and lose and I definitely lost my interest for a time.
But, I still luv her and it's very hard not to follow tennis like I do and not think on her . I still support her and she is definitely one of my faves, and prepare yourselves guys, because she will be an AMAZING player next year, I'm definitely trusting she will make an unbelievable comeback.
I don't think I will re-start to update Martina [email protected], but I'll definitely cheer her like I used to do before, and I'm pretty sure she wont disappoint me (and herself )
That's basically my story on Martina, I hope we can all be friends and great supporters.
