Li Na was the #9 seed there. Not sure what was her actual ranking though. But yeah, that draw was the biggest cakewalk ever. Meltdownareva in a slam final? :spit:

I guess it's possible. :lol: I just had a look at that S.Williams Wimbledon and wonder how some of her HC fans can complain about any other player lucking into an "easy draw". The fact is that on any day any player can bring a game above/below their average level.

Li Na wasn't even her biggest challenge that tournament. That honour goes to RecoveryPova.

^^ Yup - if Maria were to win this title she would've beaten more top 10 players at this tournament than in Serena's last two Slam wins COMBINED - so much for Cakewalkpova :spit:

By the way, I think a couple of Kim's finals in 2003-04 came without beating a top 10 player, as well.

on the other hand, her final opponent Mary Pierce faced 3 top10 seeds in a row (Huber, Zvereva, Martinez). In the final PEAK Mary won 3&2
