It seems that Hannah Collin is putting the miserable start to the season behind her with good showings in the recent $10k events in Britain. Hopefully this can continue and Hannah can get a decent ranking (maybe Top 300) at the end of the year!

On the form she is in now, I see now reason why she cannot achieve that :)

Good luck Hannah!

Anyone know where she is playing next? She is currently in the final of the Cumberland $10k event, where she will play Ipek Senoglu of Turkey!

Hannah lost 46 46!

In juniors she made the 2000 Australian Open semis and beat Tulyaganova and Bedanova! Does anyone know why she never followed it up?
In 2000, im guessing that Hannah would have been pretty old for juniors. Probably one of the oldest in the draw, giving her an advantage over the other girls. Bally and Anne got to wimbie sfs in 2001, when they were nearly 18. For players to develop using the "fasttrack" they would never have done this eg Sharapova whos 17, and already forgetting juniors. If players stay in juniors right up to 18 and get to say top 20 then it probably shows that they are not confident enough to play at a higher level, and will never getting such a high senior ranking.

It's also to do with our failing system wasting the talent of the good juniors we have. In Hannah's case a string of injuries sidelining her for months at a time has really inhibited her progress too.
