Daria Afanasyeva def. Sabine Graf 4-6, 7-5, 7-6(6)
A lot of drama in this match. Sabine smashed two racquets because she wasted not only four match points at 6-4, 5-3 but also a 6-0 lead in the third-set tie-break.
[LL]Alizé Mathieu def. Vittoria Pérez 7-5, 6-4
Alizé makes full use of her second chance and takes out the Spanish number one in straight sets. Strong tournament for the Frenchies who have two players in the semis.
[2]Fleri Hingisafrilia def. [Q]Harper Johnson 7-6(5), 6-7(4), 7-6(0)
Despite being the world number one, Fleri had to enter this event as the number two seed. However, she lived up to her ranking by taking out top 10 player and last week's finalist Harper, who had to go through qualies anyway, in three tie-breaks.
Berenika Wojnarowska def. Daria Afanasyeva 6-7(4), 7-6(3), 7-6(22)
Berenika and Daria played the match of the tournament. 22-20 was the score of the third-set tie-break. The match was sealed by a double-fault from the French hopeful.
[2]Fleri Hingisafrilia def. [LL]Alizé Mathieu 3-6, 7-6(4), 6-2
After the first set, the world number one and seed number two had to rush off to the toilets to throw up some Chinese food she had been digesting. After that, it worked better for the Aussie grandmother who managed to seal the deal, move into the final and kick the second French semi-finalist back home.
Berenika Wojnarowska def. [2]Fleri Hingisafrilia 7-5, 3-6, 7-6(4)
In the end, Fleri wasn't fast enough anymore to return Berenika's winners from both sides. The Polish girl wins her first title in quite some time by taking out the world number one player.
