Like serioulsly if we are talking about defensive players, I reckon that Zarazua or Osorio or Avanesyan have higher ceilings than her. I will forever blame Mertens for this mess.

Also, I am French but I really don't like Jackword, unwatchable game most of the time and seems like a massive Karen. A Cornut without the charisma.

She’s #53 in the live rankings and would be #38 if she wins. Her “over-ranking” would gain her seeded status at 250K level, nothing more. Calm yo tits!

Just watched the highlights and Arango was actually the more aggressive player.
Those moonballs from Jacquemot are something else, and
are not even real moonballs. More like lego-mini lobs to the service line 🫣

 

watched 2 minutes and just fast forwarded to the Jovic match... was unwatchable because of Jacquemot.

 

I don't necessarily mind moonballs, but Jacquemot was constantly caught in no-man's-land it made her indecisive shot selection painful to watch. A lot of "waiting to the last minute to play a half volley into the net" instead of fully committing to coming forward or staying back to hit a groundstroke.

 

Have to say it from the highlights reel Arango actually looked like a good player with variety and aggression. Decent slices and net play from Emiliana. Granted, she played Jacquemot, but still, credit where credit is due.
