Kirilenko returns to GTA tour

Maria Kirilenko practising on the Hardcourts in Lautoka

Russian teen Maria Kirilenko will make her return to the GTA tour after being sidelined for more than 3 months with a niggling arm injury. The Russian will play in the Grade 4 tournament in Fiji.
''It was so tough, because I was playing great tennis, and then the injury came, it was pretty devastating.
But I was hoping to be back on the tour before the US Open, and I have done that so I am happy with that.

Maria is still looking for a doubles partner though ;)

Viktoria Kutuzova arrived in Lautoka

Wimbledon Champion Viktoria Kutuzova arrived in Lautoka yesterday evening. This morning she trained for 2 hours with Maria Kirilenko and Alisa Kleybanova.
"After winning Wimbledon I was very happy so I lost a bit of concentration and I didn't play well. Winning the Championships was great for me, cos I had never played on grass. I hope to do well here!"
