As the first event ever in the Top Spin 3 Tour, it is fitting that it is one of the biggest. The Australian Open is one quarter of the Grand Slam, and awards the most points for an event. The entry/committment list will be open for a week, the deadline for entering is the 24th January and the draw will be released after and the play will begin.

The seeding for this tournament will be based on the Pre-Season Dubai Princess Cup Exhibition :D So gear up for the first Slam of the year :armed:

Caraleede who made your banner?
Re: [Grand Slam] Australian Open 2010

Is that the lineswoman from Serena's match in the front row?
Re: [Grand Slam] Australian Open 2010

Glad to have you on tour Venus.
Re: [Grand Slam] Australian Open 2010

The tourney should start on Monday.

I recommend using random.org to create the draw Cara.
Re: [Grand Slam] Australian Open 2010

Exho anyone???
I'll play you. What's your gamertag?
Re: [Grand Slam] Australian Open 2010

Glenn signed with Wickmayer and Marco signed up with Serena. Marco shouldnt have to change players because Glenn now wants Serena. Afterall he was the first to have Serena. I think Marco should be able to play the AO. He should be able to make a new player by Monday and it wouldnt take long to redo the draw.
Re: [Grand Slam] Australian Open 2010

I'm not questioning whether or not Marco gets to play the AO :speakles: If he wants a spot as Serena he is very welcome :yeah: And I discussed it with Glenn, he's fine with not being Serena.
To be honest I just wanted him to play AO so you would redo the draw and get Safina out of my section.:tape::lol:

I wish this game was like VT3 and you could watch other peoples matches.

Good luck Dina & Venus
Re: [Grand Slam] Australian Open 2010

When do I play drop short whore Safina? I get the feeling if ALG builds a lead it'll start raining dropshots.
Re: [Grand Slam] Australian Open 2010

I made Althea Gibson and I need to test her out. Anyone for a match?
Re: [Grand Slam] Australian Open 2010

Things would go much faster if we didnt have to wait for one round to be completed before the next can begin. Why not just let all the quarterfinalists who have been decided to play their matches now?
Re: [Grand Slam] Australian Open 2010

Wanna play our match now?

Re: [Grand Slam] Australian Open 2010

I've won all but one set in this game 6-3. Winning streak stretches to 5. :woohoo:

After the 1st set I got a bit passive. I'll be full out aggressive against Ivanovic/Hingis :armed:

My serve and return is what won me the match. Safina came out on top in most of the longer rallies.

Good match. :yeah: Your player actually looks like her real life counterpart

Those drop shots started coming a lot more frequently in the 2nd set.
Re: [Grand Slam] Australian Open 2010

Australian Open R1

A-L. Groenefeld (GER) def. D. Safina (RUS)
6-3 6-3

You are so frustrating to play :sobbing: I kept screaming at my TV "Stop Moonballing" or "Fuck this shit, ajde" :hysteric:
QF not R1
Re: [Grand Slam] Australian Open 2010

When can marion play?
Marion is a beast. Hardest hitter I've faced. If you can't get the 1st strike in the point is over.
Re: [Grand Slam] Australian Open 2010

Glenn is just talking intimidation  He found out that if you hold down the button long enough it's the equivalent to power risking.
Pretty much. Although it is easier said than done. The difference between risk and regular shots is when you are defending. When you have time to set up you can hit it as hard as a risk shot but on the run without time most of your shots wont have much power. With the risk however you can blast shots even when on the defensive.

I still see Bartoli winning easily though.
