Graf for sure... Steffi has always been the greatest! <IMG SRC="smilies/kiss.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/hearts.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/hearts.gif" border="0">
I think Graf? because too powerful but eggy is a bit exagerrating, how can a person beat a person with one leg, hehehe <IMG SRC="smilies/wink.gif" border="0">?
Steffi would defeat Martina because she's a better athlete, mentally stronger, more powerful and she's got the fighting spirit, never gives up on anything.

Yes indeed Kenny G ! I agree wholeheartedly with ya... Monica of 1991 would have beaten both of them... add Venus Williams to the list. <IMG SRC="smilies/bounce.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/cool.gif" border="0">
Hmmmm, i don't want to start anything but i can't believe everyone is so quick to pick Steffi. I mean i'm hardly going to say Martina everytime, cause all you need to do is look at their head to head, but i think it's unfair to pick players of different generations.
Alex, if that was the best match you've seen surely you'll know that that could have easily been a straight sets victory. I actually thought Martina's game matched up well with Graf's, the slice backhand left Graf open down the line cause she always shifted to the ad side of the court wanting to hit a forehand.
1988 Steffi, while great, wasn't greatest ever. Try Martina Navratilova, circa 1983-84...
And now that I mention it, if Martina Hingis of 1997 were to play Martina Navratilova of the '83-84 years, then I would have to pick Navratilova to beat Hingis in two. I think the elder Navratilova would just be too tough and have too much experience.
