Q. Where are you going?
Anke: I`m going to Aruba, i want to go there to have fun and enjoy, a private thing, so i won`t play Shangai this year unfortunatelly.
Q. Anke what made you withdraw from this prestigious Tier II even in Shangai?
Anke: Well my reasons are very clear, first and foremost i can`t stand Marta DomaCOWka`s stalking, she has called me on the phone since last week, when i reached the number one ranking
and i know she has to to me 
but it got to the point i got really mad 
. Marta told me that since i was not going to Bali, she was going to prepare a big party for me in Shangai and you know, well you can`t know how much of a pest she can be . So my decision to even stay in a diferent continent than the event taking place this week is to avoid Marta taking airplanes to bother me if i`m near 
. I just want a private celebration.
Q. Is it going to be with someone special? i mean do you have a boyfriend?
Anke: (Laughts) I said i wanted to keep it private, is just a private
celebration, i rather things like that, i dont like to be the center of attention.
Q. Are you still training Marta Domachoska?
Anke: DomaCOWska... do you think i`m? LOL The only thing i can say is that im using the money she paid me for the training day`s in Sopot and Standford, and it was a lot lot of money. She has gotten back to her old trainer that Jakub guy, and you know she is sucking big time , poor her, i really feel sorry for her case, in general .
Q. Who will win Shangai?
Anke: I don`t know, i heard Mirjana is playing, she must be mad on losing her top spot, she is a great fighter i know she will comeback, she may pass me in the ranks next week if she has a great week. She is just a role model, she is so consistent. There are another players playing well lately Lindsay, Roost, and even Rika Fujiwara, and you know the threats of Meghann, Steffi, they can win as well. Anyway my top pick is Mirjana
Q. When are you coming back to the tour?
Anke: I will play again in Leipzig, i will take this week as easy as i can, i want to enjoy what i got, i mean win a slam and get to number one is not something you do everyday, and i will share it with my special people around me.

Maria Practices for Shangai match against DOKIC

Maria Sharapova who only arrived in Shangai early yesterday is already out on court practicing for her match against Jelena Dokic which is scheduled to be played on tuesday.
"Im hitting the ball very well and im very happy with the way practice went today. It was very annoying though, I had alot of camera people there taking photos of me and all I want to do is practice my game.... so I blocked it out and went about my business."
One of the most popular and beautiful players on tour Maria Sharapova has only recently made the big scene in womens tennis. Unfortunately her year soo far is not up to her expectation or her coaches and they hope Shanghai this week can be the platform for Maria to reach her destined career heights of becoming a top 10 player on the FWTA tour and a major title contender.
"Yes, you need to start somewhere and lately in those littler T III tournaments I just havent been prepared to play these long matches and win them. This week we are working around my normal schedule to try some new things out, this season is nearly over and im not that bothered about my results so much. Its next year I really need to concentrate on and perform very well."

The Shanghai doubles draw has nto been released yet, but Maria is playing with a very experienced tour player this week, Mary Pierce.
"Oh Mary, I havent really spoken to her much lately... umm but I think we are going to do really well in doubles. Ive been training hard and shes been I dont know probably she has some injury, maybe you should ask her. We are going to do well this week in both singles and doubles I hope."

In the other way, Napaporn and Amélie,Bali finalists, should have a SE(Amélie deserved the wc anyway).
