Marion Bartoli still playing to defend her tittle

Marion Bartoli (3) earned her spot in semi defeating Rossana De Los Rios 6:1 0:6 6:2

French young player Marion Bartoli managed to keep her winning streak in Bogota alive, making it 7-0 in two participations. Last year playing on the FWTA tour for her very first event, she made an impressive sensation by winning the tittle.
"I have so great memories here. Last year when I came here, I was so impressed, seeing some girls I had just seen on TV, that I admired so much. I came here saying to myself that if I could win a match it would already be great. I still remember my first match against Anastasia Myskina... it seems like a long time ago now!"

The young promising little girl has now become a grown up succesful and more experimented woman, reaching her career-high this week as ranked N°13 in the world. She won two tittle so far (Bogota and New Haven), but still seems to have some difficulties in big events like slams (except a quarter in Wimbledon), and seems to have some difficulties with this new season, and finding her tennis back...
"Yeah, I don't really know what's been happening since the end of the winter break. I thought I had trained quiet well, and I was quiet confident... But things just hasn't happenned like I would have wanted so far, but it's still the beginning of teh season, and a semi here is making more confident for the rest!"

Next match will be a remake of last year semi-final between Marion Bartoli and Martina Hingis. Last year Marion won 6-3 0-6 6-2, but this time everything has changed, and maybe Martina would more know what to expect.
"I hope it will end like last year, except maybe for the second set (smile), I was so nervous after I won the first! Anyway, I thinkit will be a great match, I'm really looking forward to it, and I hope you will enjoy watching it!"
