interestingly, I can't find anything on that sportsbetting.com site that I get a pop-up for whenever I hit WTAWorld.

Paddy Power

in one list Capriati has same chances at Mauresmo and in the others better than Justine

The fact she hasn't beaten a top player in nearly a year and hasn't won a tournament in more than a year doesn't matter I guess

I guess that her 3 out of 3 GS Finals record somewhat beats Mauresmo or Justine.

Remember, odds are not about who'll do better at the tournament, odds are about who'll win it. Mauresmo or Justine have a better chance to move deeper in the tournament, no question about it. But if it will be RG semis with Capriati, Clijsters, Mauresmo and Henin, my money will be on Capriati as a better big match player.

It is like comparing Kuerten and, say, Gaudio. On current form Gaudio is much likelier to make it to the quarters, but he won't win the whole thing - you can bet on that. Guga might.

yeah but i guess the fact that she won the tournament in 2001 and should have beaten serena in the semi-finals last year does

also sporting odds only reflect the amount of money that has been placed on certain people. they don't just make up prices based on who is the better player, and that is why an american agency for example might have shorter odds for capriati and a belgian agency would henin.

Capriati only has better odds of winning on the Paddy Power site...unless I'm reading this thing incorrectly.

It just doesn't really seem that "fun" to bet on Wx2 or KC.

I find it funny that they bother creating odds for players like Dominkovic.

Which explains why English sites (I think everything I posted came from an English or Irish site) always boost their man Tiger Tim.

You can make a lot betting against Henman.
