I was just looking at some H2H's and would be interested to know if there are any other good examples of h2h's that started strongly in someone's favour but then totally went the other way as time went by.

For example, Davenport had a great start against Justine but then it was all one way traffic after about the 5th or 6th meeting between them. Same for Mauresmo - Capriata to a degree.

Any others anyone care to share? Apologies if a similar thread has previously run.

Thanks :wavey:

Indeed.

Although at the very end Clijsters nipped back into the lead with those 3 wins in 2010.

Dementieva / Ivanovic

Jankovic / Wozniacki (disgusting, but I don't count their last meeting)

I don't have any examples for you, but I just wanted to chime in and say that these head-to-head reversals are often due to completely "natural causes". E.g. a player at her peak will beat a future star a couple of times before the roles are reversed; the now-star beating the past-her-prime player.

Justine- Jelena Jankovic. Empress Jelena had managed to keep the h2h levelled at 0-0 but then Justine snatched 11 wins in a row
:haha:

Reads even better this way...

Justine- Jelena Jankovic. Empress Jelena had never lost to Justine till 2005 but then Justine snatched 11 wins in a row
