First Tennis Match You Watched

wimbledon 87(well I think it was 87) I was 10 and needed somebody to look up too and there she was in the name of Steffi but it still took three years before I realy started to follow her results and tennis in general.

Horst Skoff vs. Thomas Muster on clay in 1989, I can't remeber the place, but somewhere in Europe.. LoL

That's the match I guess that introduced me to tennis. And I still think claycourt tennis is the best tennis around

Well of course when I was really really young I used to see some bits of the Wimbledon finals (I don't know why not other slams, but I remember the Wimbledon finals) like Navratilova and Evert but I wouldn't say I saw those matches, they just happened to be on TV for me then. LOL

I can't remember very clearly, but I think it was the 1988 Wimbledon ladies final. Steffi Graf d. Martina Navratilova. I became a Graf fan, but I still hated seeing Navratilova lose. I miss both of them!

i agreed with her and was impressed by her subsequent performances.

Wimbledon Ladies Final 1993. I became a Graf and Novotna then. Jana won me over because she cried and I thought that was cool, someone showing their heartache at losing. And Steffi for her sheer performance.

I miss them both.

The first complete match I remember watching was the 1982 Wimbledon final between Navratilova and Evert-Lloyd. I was extremely young back then, 7 years old, and I was enthralled by it and I loved Martina's surname because it sounded so exotic to me at that age.
Before then I vaguely remember a Sue Barker marathon tiebreak somewhere. I really became a full follower of the tour in about '85 as before then I kinda thought only the Wimbledon and Eastbourne tournaments were those that were important as they were the only televised ones.

I think that was a Chris Evert in Wimbledon and I don't remember the year and the opponent (Navratilova or Goolagong)
I was to little kid.

I think this was the 1978 Wimbledon final between Martina and Chris, but I was a very young child.

1996 French Open final- Steffi Graf vs. Arantxa Sanchez-Vicario

I remember it was raining hard in my area and I was just crusing through channels finding out what to watch. I guess it was destiny that I tuned into this channel. LOL I didn't really know tennis at the time but my sister played so I knew what they were doing. After that match I decided to follow tennis and the first Grand Slam I watched fully was 1996 Wimbledon.

The first ever tennis match i watched was the 1999 Wimbledon Ladies Singles Finale between Graf and Davenport! I didnt know who was winning! (cause i didnt know how to convert the scores)

the first tennis match ever was the french open finals michael chang - thomas muster.

but I really started following tennis after the fed cup finals switzerland - spain in 1998.

I think it was Krajicek - Sampras at Wimbledon 1996

But it took some time before I started following tennis.

I don't remember which year it was, but the first one I saw was Monica Seles vs Graf on clay, can't even remember if it was a final.

The next complete match I think I watched was Kimiko Date vs Gabriela Sabatini. Don't know where

But I really started following tennis from that 95 French Open match, Graf vs Sanchez Vicario.

The first tennis I saw was the 2000 Roland Garros Women's final Mary Pierce against Conchita Martinez (I think) and then I "forgot" tennis and I re-begin this year, at Roland Garros, with the Quaterfinal of Kim(against Petra Mandula) and Juju's quater and then all the matches I had the opportunity to see
