Oddly enough the local sports station "SUPER SPORTS" showed
the exhibition match from January in HK. LOL Better late then
never; right??

It was Tammy vs Lina and it was superb. Wowee! Crazy
rules- 1 set; first player to reach 8 points. Any it got to
8-8 and this crazy tiebreaker ending up being played. Girls,
girls; this is just an exhibition match! LOL. The longer the
tiebreak went on the longer the rallies became and the tricks
started coming out of the bag. Serve and vollley, drop shots;
fake winnner to the corner?? HOHOHOH!

Still can't believe the 8-8 set and 12-10!! tiebreaker.
It took like a 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Bravo's. The late night crowd gave them both a
standing ovation.


I'm quite impressed with Lina; she's really talented.
Tammy?? She played some intense tennis.

Actually Supersports has shown the 2001 HK exhibition too where Dokic has won last year.

There's a repeat of the Lina vs Tammy tonight on
SUPER SPORTS channel 22.


Anyway; I seen the Dokic matches last year too.
What's weird is that Jen and ED played at this
year's Watson's Water Exhibition match in HK;yet
they SUPER SPORTS has yet to show any of [email protected]@

Who's complaining!! Tammy vs Lina was
a great match. Sometimes; we get so hung
up about grand slam draws; when the actual
match turns out to be a real whimper.

Tier V , Exhibition ?? Who cares!! The
match quality can be very, very high.

this was only a pro-set match as neither player was going to play. but were called into action cos Mary Pierce got injured.

I saw the tiebreak and it was great, the rally in the end is amazing, and they are only playing an exhibition, they fight their heart out, unfortuneately, there only a few left to watch this match (less than half full but still easily around 700-800 I will say) and people who stay truly enjoy a great match

I rushed home around 10.30pm to catch what was left of the match & I agree that it was a tight and great match!

Both Lina and Tammy were like trading matchpoints eversince 6-5 to Tammy in the tie-breaker until 10-12! Lina herself lost 2 matchpoints on Tammy's serve in the last game before the tiebreak.

This is also my 1st time watching Lina play. Lina's groundstrokes were struck in a very solid manner from both wings. She was the aggressor and Tammy did well scambling back all the balls. Sometimes, Lina did get mental lapses and played some careless shots to let Tammy back into the game.

Guess what, I just checked the channel listing and they are repeating again Lina's match on Sunday ! Aren't they going to show other matches or the final???? They are showing the adidas International semis tomorrow morning as well.

Jiro: sorry I can't tape too cos my vcr has been down for a while ... I will try to get it repair soon.
