- The format of the YEC finals in Singapore differs from all other tournaments earlier in the year. Singapore is a Round Robin (RR), therefore the Top 8 WTA women are placed into two groups (usually Group A and Group B). Each player will play a best-of-three match (BO3) and will have to play everyone in their group once in the group stages. After everyone plays everyone in their group, the top 2 from each group move onto the semifinals. In the semifinals the best record from Group A will play the 2nd best record from Group B and the best record from Group B will play the 2nd best from Group A. The winners of those semifinals matches play in the finals for the WTA YEC trophy.
- You may only participate if you are in the Top 16 in the FITD Race or if you 17-20 as an ALT in case someone misses their picks. If you are an ALT, the only way you can get in is if someone in the Top 16 doesn't post predictions. Highest ranked in race gets priority over lowest ranked ALTs. If you are unsure of where you stand in the race, please check HERE.
- When you submit your picks make sure you predict ALL of the RR matches. This will ensure you earn all the points possible. When you make your picks, you should write 'Player A def. Player B' or vice versa. The score isn't necessary. Please avoid the use of smilies in your predictions. Please post Group A predictions first, then Group B because it will be more convenient for me (the manager) to enter all the predictions into my custom-made spreadsheet.
