While this site was down, the Fed Cup selection for CZE-THA has been made:

http://sport.idnes.cz/tenis.asp?r=tenis&c=A060331_142559_tenis_elv

Here is how I read it:

Nicole will lead the field: she recovered fine from her minor shoulder injury and should be in good shape after her scheduled play at Amelia Island and Charleston.

Capt’n: Tomas Petera (same as last year…:p )

1. Nicole Vaidisova (#1 Saturday)

2. Iveta Benesova (# 2 Saturday)

3. Klara Koukalova (#2 Sunday)

4. Barbora Strycova (Sunday Dblz)

With no. 2 and 4 forming the tentative doubles team. There’ll be only the four of them because Lucie Safarova is currently training strictly on clay to defend her ’05 Estoril title the following week (and Thailand will be played on hard), and Kveta Peschke is still getting up to speed thru training after her two injuries earlier this year.

There’s also something in the bottom paragraphs (with typo’s?) about Petera trying out a new scheduling  by arriving to Thailand only two days prior to the matches as opposed to the common (and logical) five days, to get acclimated and train on the actual match court. He came up with this schedule, “so the girls don’t have to suffer the 36 deg C heat and high humidity”. “You can’t do much training under such difficult climatic conditions” and “besides, the girls are used to arrive two days prior to their matches” . And of course, Petera is convinced they’ll win in Thailand :tape:. Their opponents: Tamarine Tanasugarn (152), Suchanan Viratprasert (190), Napaporn Tongsalee (254) a Montinee Tangphong (279).

Nice looking team, the kinda team i was hoping for (pity Lucie isn't on the team)

Good luck to them, and Wig's i kinda agree, with Petera as coach you might never know what he chooses....

Anyway they should win indeed, Good Luck!

Looks like Iveta Benesova will have the honors of starting the Fed Cup match-ups CZE agst THA in Bangkok on Saturday:
http://sport.idnes.cz/zapas-v-thajsku-zacne-benesova-dzp-/tenis.asp?c=A060420_141831_tenis_ma
She'll face Suchanun in the First match. It's not clear why Czech no.1 Nicole is not in that pole position but I guess Nicole is still the only one sure to be playing two singles matches that weekend. Regardless the line-up, it appears the Czech girls  are enjoying themselves in the Thai resort  .

It's like Davis Cup - it depends on the draw. it must be Thailand #1 vs Czech #2 first. ;)

Are there live score?
Yes, mostly Fedcup.com provides livescoring when the matches get underway, just check www.fedcup.com when the matches are being played, flashing boxes with Livescore on them show the livescores just click on them and you'll find them ;)

Here are some pics of the presentation between Thailand and the Czechs in Bangkok:

I have no clue, she should be there...

Sorry to say for the Iveta fans (yes this is comming from a fellow Iveta fan) but i think it was not a great choice to put Iveta on the first rubber, seen before that Iveta crumbles under the pressure in the FC, and she did it again, i think Klara would be the better choice.

Now Iveta lost tot Viratprasert 4-6 4-6 and the Thai are 1-0, Nikki should win so C'mon Nikki level it please!! :bounce:

Well if Nikki wins, then i would rather see Klara play the third rubber instead of Iveta....

If i were the coach i would have chosen Klara and Nikki to play singles and Iveta/Barbora in dubz...

I think it's draw's fault that Iveta played first.

But I always thought that they can only nominate two players for singles, when the draw is made
I might have been wrong.
I still think Klara will play tomorrow and hopefully clinch it for the Czechs :)

There's no ways Iveta is going to play tomorrow. She might not event plays Doubles.

“She played well and hit the ball pretty hard and put some pressure on me, but I gave her the opportunity to play that well so it’s my own fault,” said Benesova. “I made too many errors. I think I’m just not a team player. I’m too tight and play so much different to when I just play for myself. I think I will never play team matches again.”

From fedcup.com....

Yeah, but I think they should have put Klara and the other singles player first, and then subbed her after... Well, I was wrong, coz I tipped Czech's to win 5-0!
