As a Henin fan I will be very objective. I think Venus will be the player to beat IF she is back in full health.
Venus will play one of the Belgian girls in the SF and prolly in the final too.
I hope Kim will play Venus in the SF and Jenjen in the QF
Candidates for the title:
1. Venus
2. Justine
3. Kim
4. Jennifer

I agree :)
Venus has the most experience and if she's fit she will go for it.

Justine made a great jump this year and after her win over Kim she will have the mental advantage over Kim. That's why I put Kim on 3

Kim has the ability but plays a lot and has a mentalproblem against some players and in important matches. It's up to her to proove we're wrong

Jen surprised me, in a very good way, in the final in Stanford!

If all healthy enough:
1.Venus(has never lost before a SF)
2.Justine(has been playing well)
3.Kim(would've been #2 but she still struggling mentally)
4.Jennifer(struggling to close out close matches, needs better mantality)
5.Chanda(wild card)/Lindsay( if she doesn't have that sucky attitude she can get far)
7.Amelie

umm, let's wait a couple weeks before deciding the faves...
Venus hasn't played yet and might not even play at the USOpen. We haven't seen Amelie play on US hardcourts this year either. Kim may have turned the corner in that San Diego final and we don't know much about Jen's injured shoulder.

Atleast wait 'till Toronto to see how everyone stacks up :p

If Venus plays, Venus wins - simple as that. I don't think either Kim or Justine (on a hard court) can beat her. ;)

Capriati could make the semi's :wavey:

Davenport's just making up numbers now

Is Amelie even fit?

Basically it's a one horse race if Venus is fit! :bounce:

I think Justine is getting too much credit...I mean she has only won one hard-court tournament and has one win over a top 15 player in her career on American hard-courts (and a tired Kim Clijsters at that), not to take anything away from her victory however, as it was well deserved.
