I listed the best ones I watched (minus one I didn't see but made a consensus on TF, Siniaková vs Sakkari). Looking at the draw it seems I have missed some interesting ones:

R3 Stephens d. Hercog 6-3 5-7 6-4

R3 Świątek d. Puig 0-6 6-3 6-3

R2 Petkovic d. Hsieh 4-6 6-3 8-6

R2 Halep d. Linette 6-4 5-7 6-3

R2 Suárez Navarro d. Rogers 6-1 6-7 6-3

R1 Suárez Navarro d. Yastremska 2-6 7-6 6-0

and a few others...

The worst one I saw? Tsurenko d. Krunić 5-7 7-5 11-9 - an endless pushing fest. Lesia was limping (as it often happens with her) and still Aleks couldn't close it...

Mertens-Sevastova for me. Not a particularly big fan of either, but it was very exciting.

The main problem is a lot of the women's matches on the bigger courts from middle Sunday onwards were pretty much damp squibs. I was dipping in and out of Sakkari-Siniakova, but unless you're a dedicated fan of either player, chances are you won't have watched that match, especially if your main broadcaster just has 2 or 3 channels showing matches, whereas the likes of Stephens vs Muguruza would be more widely available.

Sevastova/Mertens was a masterpiece. Incredible match and contest. That alone made the tournament worthwhile.

Osaka/Azarenka and Siniakova/Sakkari just behind it.

Petkovic/Hsieh is probably the only match I'd argue belongs on this list that isn't here.

Props to Vondrousova/Martic for being the best match of a generally bad second week. Can't quite call it a great match overall given the nervy end but that was at least dramatic.

Anisimova dragging defending champ Halep! Not the best quality, only because Anisimova didn't let Halep play. But the result itself... delicious! :)

this. i thought amanda might win the tournament after that match.

the sevastova/mertens was for me the most enjoyable match, with both players never giving up.
(i think i may have spotted sevastova smile)

Sevastova / Mertens for sure.

Two opposing styles, with both being very classical clay court tennis. Epic not just in terms of match length and score, but some of the rallies which were endless and creative. 5 heroic MP saves (not one was a flub or error by Mertens), some good drama, Mertens falling over every 2 seconds, the works.

The only one that came close was Hsieh / Petkovic but i'm still a bit hurt by the result. Both played really well though and there wasn't another match with that kind of creativity (from both).

Vika vs Osaka, for me. I love how Vika looked like she was gonna win for a minute, then Osaka snatched any hope in the most mercilessly savage way possible. Osaka was like "Want it? Nope!"

Every Stan match was awesome this year. Grigor, Garin, Federer and Tsitsipas. All good.

You know, a close scoreline doesn't necessarily mean a high quality match. CSN listed twice and no Anisimova ? And where is Martic/Vondrousova ?
