I'll post new standings after the final.

This week: Antwerp(4 points winner and 2 finalist)
Doha (2 points winner and 1 finalist)

Remember, you get two picks, but the second must be seeded less than 8. I'll take entries until midnight Monday-board time.

 ATTENTION: BONUS POINTS :) Also, I'd like each person to choose a "wildcard", ranked less than 50 this week. This person is an automatic pick for every event she enters in 2002, and any points she picks up are yours. There is ONE catch-you must give us a "profile" of your pick. If the profiles get interesting(and I hope they will!) it may help as to guide to some of the "lesser stars" of the WTA.

The wildcard CAN'T be someone who:

A. Has already been picked.
b. Has ever made the semis of a grand slam.

Good luck to your picks!

I really don't like the wild card idea....its more of a first come first served kinda thing and should not have an impact of the point standings in this game.

Doha:

Tell you what Arantxa's #1 Fan-lets put it to a vote. I'll hold off counting wildcard points one week til I get more feedback. If others feel as you do-then I'll trash the idea. I was hoping it might generate more interest in "dark horse" players.
Thanks for being honest about how you feel:)

I agree with Arantxa's #1......it wasn't fair for those who read the post a lot later ! it is hard to deal with time change in this case!!!!!

Hi Rollo,

Before I give you this weeks picks, I just wanted to make a suggestion: maybe for the third player we could pick each week the qualifier/lucky loser that we think will go furthest in the tournament. That way, we can adapt our choice depending onthe surface, and we wouldnt lose points if, for instance, our player gets injured and sits out for six months.
I mainly say so because my top three choices were three of the first four picked!

Anyway, if we do stick to that, it´ll be cool (hey, its your game!)I´d like to get in early and bag Kournikova.

this week: Antwerp - Williams and Kremer
Doha - Seles - Majoli

thanks!
