No official confirmation as neither the tournament or WTA updated info on players list on their websites (very unprofessional as the draw ceremony is in one day) but a credible source confirms Emma Raducanu received a main draw wild card.
Who is she going to lose to?
I wouldn't even fancy her chances against a qualifier in her current state. So much work needs to be done both on and off court. A new coach should be her number one priority followed by playing qualies and/or basically dropping down a level and playing 125s or W100s.She's going to get spanked by whoever she plays. She is currently not at this level.
They're given to:What’s the WTA rule on wc’s? What we all want to know is when this will stop?
Lmao I’m dying. What a legends. Oh it´s on. Raducanu career wildcards vs. Navratilova´s 167 career titles.
She just has to Click on one of these Courts and could Run ,with these Qlty Entry Draws.W/C's it's Good .No official confirmation as neither the tournament or WTA updated info on players list on their websites (very unprofessional as the draw ceremony is in one day) but a credible source confirms Emma Raducanu received a main draw wild card.
I mean yeah I agree, personally I would have given it to other players before her but who seriously cares. Why do people give so much of a damn if she gets wildcards or not? The system of wildcards isn't really about being fair. She can accept a wildcard and crash out R1 and life moves on.
BOUCHARD Could get a W/C and play RADUCANU W/C wow.No official confirmation as neither the tournament or WTA updated info on players list on their websites (very unprofessional as the draw ceremony is in one day) but a credible source confirms Emma Raducanu received a main draw wild card.
Which players would you have liked to see get one?I mean yeah I agree, personally I would have given it to other players before her but who seriously cares.
Maybe Sonobe.Which players would you have liked to see get one?
This.They're given to:
- Top 30 players
- Former #1 ranked players
- Former GS Champions within the last 10 years (Raducanu in this category)
- Former WTA Finals champion from the last 10 years
- Former WTA1000 Mandatory winners from the last 5 years.
Tournaments (outside of the 250's) are not forced to give her wild cards, but she's allowed to have as many as she can get. What’s the WTA rule on wc’s? What we all want to know is when this will stop?
Mandatory events don't have exempt wild cards. Remember Wozniacki's father complaining about it last year. They're given to:
- Top 30 players
- Former #1 ranked players
- Former GS Champions within the last 10 years (Raducanu in this category)
- Former WTA Finals champion from the last 10 years
- Former WTA1000 Mandatory winners from the last 5 years.
Is there a chance she could still get one? As far as I know, only one WC has been announced so far.Maybe Sonobe.
