Well conditions like these always favour the player who is more solid, which is Angelique in that case. But I doubt that Klara would have beaten Angelique if there was no wind. Kerber is just a force right now and doesn't hand out wins to other players, which is great to see.
One thing which really bothered me with Klara is her attitude. It reminded me a lot on my beloved Alona. Players like Bondarenko, Zakopalova, Benesova and Niculescu for instance could perform so much better if they weren't that negative on court. Klara played a fantastic tournament but she stepped out on court today as if she had already lost the match and that's a pity. For lots of players, a Semifinal at a premier event would be an amazing achievement and they would apprectiate this chance and fight till the bitter end. And it's not like Klara is playing a Premier Semifinal every week. She should just enjoy herself more and believe in her game. I know it was tough for her with the wind, but you just have to make the best out of it which brings us back to Kerber.
I haven't seen a player in a long time who was able to adapt as well as her. It doesn't matter if opponent or conditions, Kerber always finds a way to perform well and maximize her Potential on court, which is great. There is a similarity to Wozniacki, who was able to outlast lots of player and take advantage of their tendency to choke. Kerber is similar, but unlike her Wozniacki refused to stop being defensive and step in when she had to. The match vs. Errani showed that Angelique still has potential in the attacking-departement and also her qualities as a leftie (serve) could be improved. But this is just picking out the details, there's absolutely no reason for her to change a lot, since she's obviously having success with what she's doing. Saying this, I wish her all the best for the final. The more windy it is, the more likely she'll go home with the trophy. But I really hope she'll step in as well and does not let Paszek dominate too much.
