Eastbourne is such a wind-strewn mess, hopefully it doesn't carry over to the rest of the grass season :bigwave:

If I took anything out of this match I'm surprised that Kerber could actually retrieve and return Klara's few successful hard flat shots with interest, not an easy feat on grass, then again with the wind maybe it means nothing.

Klara is just awful  Her attitude to everything :help:

She is the one who screwed herself over, not the wind, not the umpire.

Congrats Angie, well deserved.

Klara was not interested in winning this. She's clearly satisfied with the semifinal.

Horrible match in some parts, but that's what wind does to players of course.

Really like the look of Kerber at the minute, another final in the bag and hopefully she takes the title.

Disliked Klara's attitude aswell, hopefully she will watch that point back where the umpire called it in, and face the facts the umpire was right and she apologizes.

Kookie (   ) just totally contrite in 1st set by the gusty conditions (as it was so unexpected at the coast again). She herself gifted this set by a 1,000,000,000...x UEs + to Angie. What made the match a bit more interesting were the 4th and 5th game in 2nd where many (me included) expected Angie to lose the thread of her domination which she gathered by playing with the external circumstances not against them.

Well done Angie :inlove: :worship: for reaching your next P-final. Now take some revenge for Dani's loss !

BEST OF LUCK FOR TOMORROW ! :yeah: :yeah: :yeah:

Well conditions like these always favour the player who is more solid, which is Angelique in that case. But I doubt that Klara would have beaten Angelique if there was no wind. Kerber is just a force right now and doesn't hand out wins to other players, which is great to see.

One thing which really bothered me with Klara is her attitude. It reminded me a lot on my beloved Alona. Players like Bondarenko, Zakopalova, Benesova and Niculescu for instance could perform so much better if they weren't that negative on court. Klara played a fantastic tournament but she stepped out on court today as if she had already lost the match and that's a pity. For lots of players, a Semifinal at a premier event would be an amazing achievement and they would apprectiate this chance and fight till the bitter end. And it's not like Klara is playing a Premier Semifinal every week. She should just enjoy herself more and believe in her game. I know it was tough for her with the wind, but you just have to make the best out of it which brings us back to Kerber.

I haven't seen a player in a long time who was able to adapt as well as her. It doesn't matter if opponent or conditions, Kerber always finds a way to perform well and maximize her Potential on court, which is great. There is a similarity to Wozniacki, who was able to outlast lots of player and take advantage of their tendency to choke. Kerber is similar, but unlike her Wozniacki refused to stop being defensive and step in when she had to. The match vs. Errani showed that Angelique still has potential in the attacking-departement and also her qualities as a leftie (serve) could be improved. But this is just picking out the details, there's absolutely no reason for her to change a lot, since she's obviously having success with what she's doing. Saying this, I wish her all the best for the final. The more windy it is, the more likely she'll go home with the trophy. But I really hope she'll step in as well and does not let Paszek dominate too much.

feel for kookie. she seems like an intelligant girl with a very clear opinion about windy conditions- its not proffessional to play when the game is" guess where" and not tennis.
she was pissed off klara, with her horrible to look at dace, but thats her regular self. the wind played too much with the match and she refused to be a monkey in the zoo, ridiculed and mocked.

then again as for tennis skills- she simply lacks too much, including a serve and percentage play.

kerber adapting exceptionally well to conditions, definatly best grass footwork this season.
however, she IS tired, and come the OG i think "the burn" will begin, and i hope even more that she can overcome.
