K Clijsters 10/1 (tote betXpress)
J Henin-Hardenne 20/1 (Victer Chandler)
J Capriati 25/1 (BET 365)
J Henin 25/1  (Ladbrokes)
L Davenport 25/1 (BET 365)

D Hantuchova 50/1 (Victer Chandler)
Hantuchova 50/1  (Ladbrokes)

E Dementieva 66/1 (tote betXpress)
J Dokic 66/1 (Paddy Power)
C.Rubin 100/1 (Victer Chandler
M Seles 100/1 (Ladbrokes)

I don't gamble in any way shape or form but I just thought it was interesting to see how the bookies think the players will fair! What do you think - are they about right?

If I did bet I'd put a bit on Davenport for Wimby - last time she won there she was 16/1, so at 25/1 I'd take the chance ;) I thik for RG a couple of fantasy bets could go on Henin-Hardenne.

Any views?

Henin and Hantuchova are listed twice because that's their odds given by two different bookmakers. i think.

[email protected] being 100/1 for Roland Garros (is that for a 1st rd win ?? ;) )

I can't believe that Justine is 12:1, while Kim is 5:1 and Jen is 10:1. that just makes no sense.

Might be worth putting some money on her though at those odds!

What are Anna's odds?

Just curious ;)
Somebody told me the odds of me making it past the first round at Wimbledon are 30/1 that is so retarded.

Jennifer ex-winner and Kim ex-finalist at RG and Kim wins almost everytime against Justine (but on clay : 1-1).

So it doesn't surprise me one bit that Kim is ranked higher than Justine.

I'm not sure that Justine can win against Kim. There seems to be an enormous mental problem.

It doesn't particularly suprise me that Kim has closer odds than Justine (as you said, ex-finalist, good record against everyone ranked under her), but 5-1, and 12-1 means that they think that Kim is more than twice as likely to win as Justine. That really doesn't make sense - they aren't that far apart in their chances to win! 5-1 for Kim and 7-1 for Justine would be fair, I think.

And Justine being an ex-Wimbledon finalist with an excellent grass-court record really should be ranked above or equal to Kim... Those bookies are going to lose some money, methinks!

I don't think that they are going to lose money.

Nobody can beat the Sisters at Wimbledon.

Kim and Justine have a chance at RG, but it would be a major upset.

BTW : It amazes me that a lot of members of this forum are interested in players of another nationality. I see Norwegians, Swedes, Brits, ...

They don't have players in the top 100 of the WTA.

I'm not interested in the forum of the ATP. The semi finals of Dewulf (RG) and Malisse (Wimbledon) are nothing compared to the results of Kim and Justine. (But I was still cheering Xavier last year at Wimbledon.)

Bovina has the same odds as Evie Dominikovic??

Juju 12:1 at RG looks pretty nice... I'd take that.
