The 24 highest doubles ranking teams in Miami are identical to those in Indian Wells.

Kudermetova and Schuurs are in-advance direct acceptances in Miami. In IW they entered on-site.

Azarenka and Barty required a wild card. Neither their combined doubles rankings nor combined best rankings are sufficient for direct acceptance on-site.

Azarenka (partnering Svitolina) also got a WC in IW. Don't know if these WCs are Top 20 Doubles Wild Cards. In either instance the Azarenka teams should not be the next-in alternate. In IW Pavlyuchenkova/Sevastova and Muguruza/Suárez Navarro teams were the top alternates.
