I found these cute pics of this dynamic duo on the Qatar website. I really miss these 2 great Champions. They both had amazing careers and I won't forget them, even though they have been gone for nearly a year now.

ASV: Hey Sandrine, take a looky at my hair. I feel like Pocahontas or Cleopatra!

Sandrine: But my hair is longer, and curlier than yours.

ASV: Nah, uh. MY hair is longer. See, if I face this way, it gets longer than yours!

Sandrine: We both used our Panteen Pro-V, so we both gave great hair. We are SO elegant!

YES!!

Sandrine was a player with steel and guts. I never saw her balk at a challenge, and you know, I felt she was one of the main threats to the Williams', for that very reason! She was no slam contender, but she could beat anybody on her day and play incredible tennis.

She had character and resolve so rare in today's generation. It's a shame she didn't reach the higher echelons five years earlier, 'cos she's still only be 26!

As for Aranxta...

That great lady needs no introduction. It's an excuse, 'cos there isn't enough room.

Sandrine was one of those players that always fought and would pull out some tough, yet very exciting wins against the top players!!

She was very underrated, but was a very talented player with an awesome kick 2nd serve!

As for ASV, she was my fave. Her personality and achievements will never be forgotten. After Monica's stabbing, Arantxa added some much needed life into the tour!!

I can't get over the pics I posted, they are so gosh darn cute. Both were concidered vetrans, and played the game each over a decade. They appear to get along great in these pics; friends. Were they?

I miss Arantxa so much, but I don't miss her 2002 form. As much as I love her, I couldn't stand another year of her losing against pretty much everybody.
It would be great if she returned to play doubles though!

I don't really miss Sandrine however, I do respect her but she was never one of my favourite players.
