Having read all the comments about Aga losing the final before it's even started, I'd like you all to show a little respect to Radwanska. That final appearance doesn't come from nothing, she's played her best tennis to reach that stage, deserve it and it's really sad that Serena fans already counted her out. We all want our fave to win, but some comments are really insulting. Aga doesn't have such weapons as Serena, but she can deal with power-hitters. All the stats favour Serena, but she may have a day off and Aga could benefit from that for sure. True fans should never underestimate the other player.
For Polish fans, for Polish tennis generally it's gonna be a huge success, 75 years after other Pole - Jadwiga Jędrzejowska reached the final here. Let us cherish the moment even though Aga is on a lost position for many of you. We, Poles, don't count her out and believe in her!
Good luck Agnieszka Radwanska in the final of 2012 Wimbledon!!!

Well, GM is not the place where you can expect much respect for anything other than players who hit the ball as hard as Popeye would after eating a can of spinach. But sure, reaching the Wimbledon final is a terrific achievement for Aga and a moment to be proud of for Polish tennis fans. But there's no denying that she is a huge underdog against Serena come Saturday. But in a way she's also in a comfortable position, because she's expected to lose so there's not that much pressure on her in that regard. She should just try to enjoy the occasion and try as hard as she can. That's all she can do anyway. And who knows? Underdogs win tennis matches all the time. ;)

I'm just consoling myself and remembering that such tennis greats as Tauziat, Zvonareva, Zina Garrison and Betty Stove got to the Wimbledon final. Heck, Conchita Martinez even won one!
Radwanksa will be lucky to get a game in each set and we all know it. Ok. Thanks. Bye.

I would LOVE if Aga won Wimbledon.

1. Serena might get nervous
2. Aga will make Serena hit those extra shots (Vika moves worse, doesnt get as many balls back as Aga)

Serena gets frustrated and Aga wins :)

Yes, Serena has lost to 17 year old Sharapova on the same occasion 8 years ago. No one thought she would have any trouble then either.
I hope she prepares for the final as thoroughly as she would for someone like Clijsters, Sharapova or Venus.

I think if Agnieszka was playing anyone else she might have a chance, but Serena is too experienced and determined. We saw what happened to Errani in France as well, who also likes to use cunning play against the bigger hitters. I think Serena is too smart, it is not just about pwoer play on this occasion, Serena uses the power of her serve in an intelligent fashion.

The best hope is for Agnieszka to give a good account of herself and hope for the best.

Sharapova had 113 mph serve in her pocket

Franlky speaking this matchup looks like Errani-Sharapova at RG , Serena should deliver all the best she has not to give chances to AGA . Not lose consentration before Game, Set, Match and be physically ready.

For instance today Serena in second set was extremely tired , she shouldn't have played 2 doubles matches the day before

I thought of that too. But Aga won't fare better than Vika returning serve. She may also be more vulnerable than Vika on her own serve, Vika served pretty decent overall in this match. Most important Vika hits rather deep ground strokes, Aga can do that too but not always consistently, Serena will murder the shorter balls. Serena's hardly ever behind the baseline so dropshots...., probably not. Anything can happen but Serena is very clear favorite here.

Don't count Aga out? She certainly cannot be counted in. She cannot beat Serena at Wimbledon, Serena is in a different class from Kerber and the other girls that Aga beat on her way to this final, she will get a rude awakening come Saturday.

I'm not sure the underdog status is enough for Aga this time. She reached the final by defeating Rybarikova, Vesnina, Watson, Giorgi, Kirilenko, and Kerber; none of those are in Serena's league. (Who is!?). Obviously that's not Aga's fault and just how the draw-gods wanted things to be, but we haven't seen Aga beat anybody of Serena's caliber on her way to the final. She did beat Sharapova in the Miami final, but I don't think that was a complete surprise; Sharapova has a history of falling to players with a Wozniacki-like game and UE'ring herself into defeat. Serena, though, does not fall for that... she outhits them with those extra %s of consistency that Sharapova usually/sometimes lacks.

As for underdogs; I do think Serena underestimated Stosur in the final of the US Open, but it's not like it was brand new information™ that Stosur had the game to beat her. (The surprising thing was that Stosur didn't have a brain malfunction as usual). But with Aga... even if it's Über-Aga who shows up on Sat, I don't think she can intimidate Serena with her game, Stosur-style. Serena is gonna come into this match with confidence, and it's not gonna be supercilious. In order for Aga to win, she has to be Über-Agi, planets need to align, and Serena must have an off-day of Razzano-esque proportions. 1st round of Frogeater Open is one thing, but I'm just not seeing that happening in a slam final!?

But hey, I'd love for Aga to win a slam... as long as it doesn't involve beating someone named Williams ;-)

I agree, but Aga obviously can't go into the match thinking like that. But I'm ok with Serena winning. I just hope that Aga will give a good account of herself. The most likely scenario though is that Aga will only be a spectator while aces and return winners keep zooming past her.
