Second time in my 10+ years as a tennis fan I feel totally indifferent about a former top player retiring (after Ivanovic).

AWWWW! This is soooo sad, though I had a feeling.

Her game was so much based on fight and belief and she just didn't seem to have the same fire, even before the injury. Underrated player for sure, so consistently good and fought every time she was out there. Wishing her the best in her post tennis life.

That the one and only common denominator of both, Hantuchova, happens to be your fave is just random coincidence :eek:h:

Domi had terrible draws all year long, and injuries affected her. I was hoping she would make one final push to say goodbye next year. She will not return

Domi sniffing the balls before the serve will always be legendary!

Had she been a little bit taller, you do wonder what else Domi could have achieved. I still think she can be very proud about her career and results.

I will say that I'm not surprised at all, but I find her's a pretty cool way to go away. Just enjoy your last tournaments without that public buzz. Some of her fans might feel sad about not knowing about it though.
