A top player shouldn't play more than 3 tournements in a row.

Maybe Clijsters original plan was to withdraw from the Canadian Open, (unless she would have lost early in one of the 3 California events), but now there has been so many withdrawal, I'm sure the WTA will put pressure on her to still play it.

That wasn't 4 in a row. (I think). She usually plays the 3 californian tournements + new haven.
