She showed at the Fed Cup final that she has the tennis and the fight to win big matches—and not just as a double specialist.

But beyond that, could women's tennis be more dynamic with Kiki playing a bigger role as a legitimate star?

She's got a bold personality. I suspect most people would consider her an attractive woman.

She has a relationship with a top ATP talent.

She's the tennis equivalent of the Tower of Babel.

For me, she's got the marketing potential that could be helpful to the tour. And if she can get her singles performances back to where it was during the clay season in 2017, I feel like a competitive Mladenovic adds a great intrigue and drama that can make the WTA more exciting.

The tennis isn’t where it needs to be by any stretch of the imagination tbh.

If she became more consistent and reliable as well as outspoken. That’s different because you can back the talk up.

The problem is that she's so short term focussed only.

Need is a strong word for sure but yes, I agree with the sentiment. She's great for the tour.
Love outspoken and truthful players, I don't always agree with her, but love her just for being true to herself. Also I understand she isn't everyone's cup of tea looks wise, but I agree that she's is lovely, Always thought she had this very classic beauty look, like a Greek Goddess.
I don't know if she has the consistency in singles to be a top 10 mainstay but top 20 yes.
She can beat anyone on her day, next year will be interesting.
She might not be #1 in doubles but I think she is probably the current best dubs player, she has that ability that only the greatest doubles players have, she is constantly putting the ball back into places the other players can't reach, or consistently making them uncomfortable. Wonder who she'll play mixed with in Tokyo? Again, maybe not in singles but could see her medalling in both Doubles and Mixed, she just really loves player for her country.

Hopefully she'll find this needed consistency and be another wta force along with others.
