Since she retired I have found it hard to have a fave, she was one in a million, a great fighter and was the first belgian to reach teh Top Ten.

We Miss U!!!!:)

I always thought she was very fun to watch! I remember when she won the olympic bronze medal in doubles, and her emotional win over Lindsay at RG. I hope she's enjoying her life outside of tennis!!! :D

Dominique is a sweetie!

I'm sure she's happy now, tending to her little one.

Many people who were fans may miss her but I am not sure
how she is remembered among many tennis fans because
she did not have that impact on tennis as compared to
Henin and Clijsters. Though she played her part; not enough
in my opinion.

After Julie Halard's retiremnet I feel the same way, fave-less!

Actually Dominique would have become my fave if she had not retired at the same time as Julie.

My 1st and 2nd faves bowed out at the same time.

I think she was a badly under-rated player, capable of anything.

I was just wondering if Dominique is from the Walloon speaking side of Beligium or the Flemish side coz her first name seem French with a Dutch last name?

i've only took notice of her during the last moments of her career... but she's a great player and yes certainly missed. I just love the way she trounced Lindsay twice (RG & Eastbourne?)

I mis Dominique too. It's a pity she retired at such a young age.

Candy, Dominique is Walloon. She used to play under 'Dominque Monami' but after she married to Bart Van Roost, who is Flemisch, she changed her name. They are living in Flanders now. :)
