NO!!!

same reason i dont like jennifer. ugly inside and out. i think venus would have a FANTASTIC body, but as a person she thinks shes bad or something and all cool. i really hope one day elena bovina walks up to her and shoves her to the ground. then when venus tries to do something elena kicks her ass, and anna k jumps in and goes for the jugaler and stuff!!! WOOO!!!! ditto for serena. someone really needs to physically beat them up i think. bad bad peopple....

i love them. players of their caliber has made the WTA tour more interesting.

i don't like their attitude the first time I've heard them but success has changed them for the better and that's what counts most. <img src="smile.gif" border="0"> <img src="graemlins/angel.gif" border="0" alt="[Angel]" />

No offence to any of their fans, but personally i don't like them

Well, basically i think it's summed up in my user name. I'm a Martina Hingis fan and for as long as i have followed her career and the WTA Tour their attitude towards her has given me plenty of reason to dislike them.

Yes and NO

I love Serena!! She is beautiful, great player, etc.

But for some reason i do not like Venus. Shes a great player, but i hope Serena will crush her and be the better William sis.

I can only say this is a very bad idea for a thread, I hope it doesn't get as nasty as I feel it will, but I'll never know as this will be my one and only visit.

theres no reason for it to be nasty, just say yes and no and why. theres no need to try to further justify the reasons why adn why not. it all depends on wher eyou focus in my opinion. i can understand where people could liek them(though hardly, its very ahrd for me to believe) and of course i see why they dont like them

Not really....<br />I like them better off court.... but i really hate their one-sided power game, its ugly and horrible.... they just slam and belt everything! it takes no skill when you have the strength of a man. <br />I like Venus off court though.... she's quite cute... but overall i just don't like their tennis...and i really strongly dislike Serena who is rude and inconsiderate to her opponents.<br />I will not disagree that they have brought a lot to the game though...

Yes! I Love BOTH sisters!

I admire the tenacity, determination, athleticism, and style that they both bring to the game.

I love them because they're Americans!

I love them because they're GREAT role models for African-Americans, Women, Youth, and the Poor!

I love them because they recognize that tennis is only one facet of their lives. They seem to have achieved and maintained a perfect balance between acquiring an education, maintaining strong familial bonds, giving "back" to others less fortunate than themselves, and showing others that success can be achieved and dreams can be realized with hard work and determination.

I respect them because, despite various obstacles that many place in their paths, they remain true to themselves, each other, and are not afraid to tell the world that "this is who we are, so get used to it!" They also seem very committed to their faith (religion).

But, I mostly respect and love them because, for some reason, their continued success seem to drive SOME Caucasian people into irrational thinking, double-standard application, and especially into near insanity! <img src="smile.gif" border="0">

I have been reading the post here for a while & I never saw a question like this for any other player. I love the Williams sisters, especially Venus. I love her attitude on the court, If she does not talk much, so what. She plays great tennis, she's beautiful with the best looking body of all the women on the tour, I guess with her game, plus how she looks on the court, people are bound to be jealous. Jean

I like them.<br />They are talented, intelligent, well-balanced, beautiful young women. They are role models for ALL women.

Furthermore, they have significantly raised the interest in tennis since their arrival, and helped shed some of the "lilly white-ness" of the sport, making it more accessible and acceptable for people of ALL races and religions to play.

I don't like Serena just because I think her public face is just an act. On court she looks vicious and rude.

Venus is okay. I like her as a person... she seems nice and intelligent. I don't really like her game though... most of the time she makes a lot more errors than winners. But she can play well, and it's just her high-risk game that causes the errors.

Even though I am tired of Lindsay losing to them, I like all of the Big Babes ... this means Mary, Monica, Venus and Serena too!

I also play tennis in real life, Big Babe tennis, and I can also confirm that it does take a lot of skill to slam the ball for winners repeatedly... what takes no skill is slamming it out repeatedly.

I tear up everytime I watch the tape of the U.S. Open final .... During Venus's last service game at match point , she was going to toss the ball, paused when she realized it over .... It looked like she choked back a sob , because she had beaten Lil Sis... That broke my heart [sob sob] . What class at the end of the match!!! She hugged baby Sis and told her she loved her <img src="smile.gif" border="0">

I love the fact that they did things their way... I so admire how they have achieved their success without having spent loads of money and time that others have spent with junior tournaments, coaches, professional experts and the traditional route. I'm simply amazed by their talents and accomplishments...<br />Not only are they wonderful athletes, they're bright, sensible, and happy.... I am so proud and thankful that they are worthy of being role models.....

I really like Rena , because she is extremely competitive, feisty, and a helluva of a player when she is on... Venus to me is a cut above the rest... I love it that she is lethal on the court both mentally and physically and has tremendous competetitor's instincts, she manages to win even when she's playing her worse game...

Like it or not , more people are watching(women's ) tennis now because of them <img src="tongue.gif" border="0">

no, i don't really like them, but i respect their talent and i admire the way they've gone to the top rankings.

im not a fan of powerhitters, i'll take angled shots, wonderfully executed volleys and perfect drop shots over bashing the ball each time.

i do like the sisters' sense of humor though. but i hate the way they pull our of events each time they sneeze.

My Girls are the BEST! One of my dreams came true on that cool Saturday Night in September when Venus and Serena Williams Played for the Women's Championship of the US Open. <img src="cool.gif" border="0">

My Girls are looking forward to playing against each other in the other three Grand Slam Finals.

I like them but they're not my favourites. So naturally I would support the likes of Hingis, Henin, Clijsters when they play against them. However, I'm always interested in articles about them and I've visited their fansites <img src="cool.gif" border="0"> I also think they're great for tennis <img src="biggrin.gif" border="0">

I don't really like power tennis, so I don't enjoy watching Venus or Serena play much.

On the other hand, I like what they've done for tennis - i.e. raise the profile of the game, make it less exclusive. And I enjoy reading their interviews, especially the doubles ones as they're more entertaining and genuine than most players.

So, yes and no is my answer I guess.

I like Serena a lot, the way she plays, the way she talks in interviews, not that I dislike Venus but I just like Serena much more <img src="smile.gif" border="0">
