I have lived in my own place for several years now. I moved up to the city when I was pretty young. My family are great but I just love my own independence and freedom. I currently live in a cosy bungalow complete with big garden with my boyfriend and my gorgeous 2 year old labrador Brisco

I don't think I could ever go back to living with the family. I've gotten too used with doing what I want.

MirjanaLfan...you're probably old enough to live on your own.

I'm 21, still studying..it's hard to live on your own then. Once you start working it's easier to go and live on your own.

per4ever that's true but I lived away from home since I was 18! I was a student for 4 years. I'm only just older than you by a couple of years.

Well, I'm 19 and I live with my parents. That's all.

MirjanaLfan, how did you get the money if you were just 18 years old? You started working so soon or did your parents give you the money?

Some of my a lil bit older friends asked if I wanted to move out... but I don't think so... I'd just lose all control and party way too much.. I'll wait til my studies settles!

Officially, I still live at home (am registered there) but I do live on my own, in a studio. As a student, I had my own room near campus but like every other student in this country, I went home every weekend. Now I still go home quite often, but not every weekend anymore....and from now on, I have to do my own laundry;-)

Well, I still live at home. I'm only 15, it wouldn't be normal if I would live alone!

I live in an apartment since the first of december, the two years before I lived with a girl. But living alone is much cooler, I think. I didn't like the girl anyways.
Now, I'm a real single.

TOT, at 18 I started my university course and I was able to live away from home because I got a grant and I also got myself a part time job at night working in a bar which payed the rent! Thankfully I don't work in a bar any longer.

I live with 5 others plus a cat, so it gets quite cramped especially in the kitchen at times, plus the cat likes to hop up on the counter and into the bin, so it's caused a few rows in it's time!
It's fun living with others but I think the more people you live with the more complications that can arise. I'm at home in Ireland now for the christmas which is nice to spend time with my family and we live out the country so its nice and quiet for once!

Are you nuts? I split from home at 16--too many people and too many rules. Plus, I knew what I wanted to do with my life anyway, so why wait? Though, it must be a pattern for me, because I live in 6000 square feet now and sometimes I can't stand even to have Ronnie, my husband, around! I need space I guess.

I'm only 15, have absolutely no income. There is no way I'm ever going to find a house to live alone in right now. Maybe when I'm 20
