Nope.

Some said it was the reason she lost.

That's what I heard, but I am asking for confirmation because no one here mentioned it.
Geez, this is getting crazy, if it is the case that she needed a timeout, I hope this girl hasn't become permanently afraid of time-outs because of some silly comments Kim made :(

Me too. I don't get it. Juju has been ruthless this year, but she lets Kim's words get to her. She must really want to be friends with Kimmy.

don't know where you're trying to go with the whole being friends with Kimmy thing, but it still shocks me that some people believe she faked cramps at the US Open (yeah, she faked the IV fluids too). Carlos (bless his big mouth) has said that she takes things people say about her more seriously than many people think...now coming from Carlos, I've no idea if he said that just to generate controversy or to get back at Lei or whatever.

I should stop now, we need the opinion of someone who actually watched the match ;)

what's even crazier is the fact that she needs to take an injury timeout in every 3 set match she has... whether she does or not isn't what i'd be fearing... but there are girls that hit it harder and are in worse shape that don't take/need this many injury timeouts...

A piercing truth.

indeed. Are you implying she's working herself into the ground?
Yes. I think she may be headed for a more serious injury if she doesn't take a break. She seems to be consumed with taking the #1 rank. Or maybe she is just using gamesmanship in her three set matches to try and win.

She very well may be.
She's talked about having to work at her physical strength and how her body is almost always aching somewhere. She not as physcially gifted as some of the other top players and has had to work very hard to get to where she is now. The question is, how long can her body stand up to the high level of intense training to keep her as strong as she's become.

Good grief!! So she had an off day and got beaten---it happens to the best sometimes. Justine doesn't stike me like someone who is afraid of what people think. She's totally immune to that.
she'll do whatever she needs to win. she just couldn't today because she DIDN'T PLAY WELL ENOUGH . END of story :tape:

Maybe the comments weren't 'silly'. Maybe Justine went back, looked at her matches with kim and realized that Kim had actually made an accurate observation about the number of injury time-outs Justine has taken vs Kim. Forget faking vs not faking. If Justine looked up and realized that she'd played Kim 15 times and called for the trainer in 13 of them, it might have an effect on her.

yeah that could be it or maybe not:eek: I don't recall her taking that many (or any) injury timeouts between the Australian Open and Rosmalen. Since then, I've seen her call for a trainer at San Diego and come close to calling for one in that Cappy match. Obviously hard-courts are harder on your body and she's played a lot of tournaments. Which of her time-outs have I missed? Capriati and Rubin have had problems and even withdrawn from tournaments because of injuries this summer. Kim lost to Lina K. because of 'fatigue' and both Mauresmo and Davenport retired from matches. Justine hadn't done any of that...I do agree with Faboo though that she may just be making herself ripe for a bigger injury (a little bit like Kim) or doesn't really have the endurance at the finish line because of whatever physical limitations.

whaa?! This comes as a complete shock to me. I didn't know she called for a trainer in 13 of the 15 times they played. In which two matches did she not call for an injury timeout? Are you sure, she's taken an injury timeout in all but 2 of their meetings or is this a joke I'm just too daft to get?
