Hi everyone:)

this is Diane Parry thread. Diane is born on 1 september 2002, is currently ranked 304 in junior and is making her debut in itff women circuit this week.

She played Macon (15K) qualies last week but lost to Laura Deigman (GBR) in Q1 4-6 2-6

She's playing again now in Amiens (15K), on clay indoor and she won her 1st pro match!

she was facing Danique Baart (NED) who is 18 years old, she won 6-7 6-2 6-1 in 2h19 :yeah:

she'll face another dutch player next. Claire Vewerda who is 20yo. She beat Maelys Bougrat in Q1 losing 1 set so Diane would have her chances too...

I was quite surprised to see Diane playing those tournaments, she doesnt play much in this 2017 year and seems like she decided to swimm in "the big pool". I wish her the best for sure, she's from the Boulognes Billancourt tennis club in Paris and trained by Valerie Vernet-le-Droff.
She's one handed backhand too:hearts::hearts::hearts:. She could learn much there imo.Allez!

Diane back to Junior and she scored her best result at Open d'Istres (G2), reaching SF there as a wildcard:clap2:

R1: (wc)Diane Parry (FRA) d. Alexandra Victorovich (SWE) 6-2 7-5
R2: (wc)Diane Parry (FRA) d. Giulia La Rocca (ITA) 6-2 6-1
QF: (wc)Diane Parry (FRA) d. (3) Nicole Mossmer (USA) 7-5 6-7(2) 7-5
SF: (wc)Diane Parry (FRA) vs (1) Carson Branstine (USA)

big fight from Diane in this QF, another big challenge next cause she's facing a top15 junior Branstine who beat promising Carole Monnet in 3 sets in 2nd round. Dont know how Diane will feel after this QF, hopefully she'll be able to keep winning:)

well she already won the double title with her good friend Giulia Morlet, our young guns defeated the american team (1) Branstine/Mossmer 6-1 6-1!:yeah:

Diane lost in 3 sets 7-6 1-6 4-6 to this Branstine who is 2 years older, and ranked almost in top10:hug:

her level droped after the 1st set loss, too bad she could put more in this last set

but great to see her being in SF, wish her to keep improving and play more and more in the last stage of quality tournaments, G2 and G1:):):)

Diane is in Roland Garros, I watched her doubles match pairing Giulia Morlet, the girls were facing big hitters and tough players Larsson/Bertens

I liked what I saw in Diane, she has a good game, court sense and geometrie, she made some killing shots in that match, one handed backhand passing shot:hearts: of course they lost badly but Diane showed good attitude, very mature one

Diane will play (Q)Lara Schmidt (GER) in R1

Allez!

good fight in the 2nd set but well slams are not easy cause very older girls play them but that's how she'll improve hopefully in couple of years:)

Diane made the trip to Australia, unfortunately she lost in 1st round in the two tournaments AO including.

Here her AO R1 against A.Nagata (JPN)

Too many errors from Diane. still hasn't found the right balance between offense and defense, rushing a bit too. She needs a real coach to improve imo

Diane had a very good week, she reached the finale of XII ITF Junior GRIP2 Tennis Academy (G2) in Spain and won the title in doubles partnering austrian player Sinja Kraus:clap2:

Diane had good wins this week but couldn't get the finale win against Viktoriya Kanaptskaya (BLR), she lost very badly 1 and 2.

Diane stays in Spain as she's about to play Trofeo Juan Carlos Ferrero (G1) next week, wish her the best here:x

with this result she enters top50, her best ranking, well done.

Diane reachs another finale the Trofeo Juan Carlos Ferrero (G1) this week.:D

watched her match vs Francesca Curmi(MLT), she won 6-2 6-1 in a convincing match. Much better level than we could see at the AO. Love her game, at 15 it's very nice to see a girl playing this type of game.

Well the bad news is that she'll play Victoryia Kanapastkaya AGAIN  could watch her stream vs Khodan and the girl is very impressive for her age. She's like an agressive wall, Diane hopefully learned from her last week loss. But she's learning at her own rythme.

Not try to overpower her but make her move and try to come to the net to finish the point imo. It was so so windy today so if it's the same tomorrow Diane will have to be smart and patient. Something I really want her to develop is her backhand down the line, she seems to prefer to hit with her forehand more when I think being able to go DTL is such an advantage as a one handed backhand:eek: I truly wish her to work in the future to "fix" this shot and hit it when she can. It could make big difference. :)

for those who want to see Diane SF it's here (from 1:53') :

Ouiiii!!!!Diane won Trofeo Juan Carlos Ferrero!:bigclap::clap2::yeah:

she just destroyed Kanapatskaya 6-0 6-2! Well done Diane!so calm, in control in this finale. The start of the match was crucial, Diane showed confidence and her opponent kept feeling tense and pressured

it's Diane 1st title in Junior and a Great win!

saw some Backhands down the line there and it showed she was feeling good and relax:)

here the match

I didn't know Diane was coached by Julie Coin, very happy cause what I saw in this tournament was a much better player who makes much less errors from the baseline.

the fact she also loves to come to the net is very positive to her game, she's improving in the right direction. She's now #29 in the ranking. :)

Diane got rewarded a Qualie WC in Roland Garros Senior

she was facing Jana Fett (#109) in 1st round and she won 7-6 1-6 7-5!!!!!:bounce::hearts::clap2:

So proud of her cause she was broken 3 times in 3rd set, kept fighting and broking back

so happy for her and for Julie Coin her coach:D at the end Diane was calm and relax, she signed some autographs, already a "little pro" behavior

Rebecca Sramkova is next. Checked her profil and year, she won 2 15K on clay back to back in march. Would be amazing for Diane to win again.Hopefully she will.

Allez!

unfortunately Diane lost 6-7(5) 0-6:sad::hug:

well it was quite a strange match today, you could feel she was close but at the same time very far

she got a 4-2 lead in this 1st set but played very bad game at 4-3, rushing, bad choices, then her opponent kept fighting hard

diane saved 3 set points in this 1st set. She was leading 4-2 in this tiebreak. Dont know she was perhaps a bit tired, she had a strap on her right leg. I think her win versus Fettt was very promising but she still under construction. In this 2nd set you clearly see she dropped her commitment and intensity. Julie Coin will have to talk to her about keep fighting no matter what. She still a junior in many department of her game and i think she should play more ITF tournaments after RG to get more consistent.

Still very proud of her and this is the beginning imo.

Diane RG junior draw was brutal, she lost 5-7 4-6 to Cocciareto in R1, she was strapped heavily in her right leg and seemed tired:hug:

She was playing 25K Essen tournament this week, lost in Q3 to German player Lena Rueffer (3) (#476)

Q1: Diane Parry (FRA) d. N.Ballach (GER) 6-1 6-1
Q2: Diane Parry (FRA) d. (14)K.Filip (SWE) 6-2 6-0
Q1: Diane Parry (FRA) l. to (3) L.Rueffer (GER) 3-6 2-6

still a good experience in a 25K, she is in the entry list of Montpellier next week, another 25K in France, on clay too. Then I think she'll prepare herself for grass to play a junior tournament before Wimbledon.
