because she was planning on playing stanford qualies which start saturday.

I doubt she tanked, why enter a tournament as number 1 seed to play one round and then lose. Plus most of the other seeds had already lost so in theory she should have an easy way to win and gain 70 points.

It wasn't a tank. Michelle's father said she struggled trying to hit winners in the altitude in Denver.

Marie-Eve A finalist showing here would put her into US Open qualies most likely.
