Including 3 in a row to lose the game
Is it a record?

No.
Yan Zi or Zheng has hit 4 in a row in a double match against Chakvetadze/Mirza to lost a SET,however they won the next two sets and the whole match.
But I remember someone told me Sabatni(sp?) hit 7 DFs in a game but still managed to win that game.

In some matches Elena has theoretically had enough DFs to grant her opponent a whole set worth of points.

My point is that one of them hit 4 IN A ROW.I know which number is bigger. But thanks for asking me if I have noticed or not.

And 7 is more than 6,therefore the answer is still NO.

:rolls: :rolls: :rolls:

I still remember when she was facing Schaul in New Haven 04, and she started serving and lost the game to love with 4 DF's  :hearts:. Then, after that, she asked an extra ball to the ballkid and she hit a serve in, then the crowd clapped and Claudine gave a small laugh! :haha:
And after such a start, she still managed to win the match 2 and 1, if I'm not mistaken! :p

Not to mention that a few tournaments behind New Haven 04, I think it was San Diego or L.A., in a SF match against Serena, LenaD double faulted 4 times in a row to lose the game as well! :spit:

Only LenaD to do such things on court :rolls:, at least she still fights back and win the matches, like she did today after a disastrous 2nd serve day! ;) :p

If she hits lots of DF's and still manages to beat Patty, let 'em come! :bounce:

i once hit 10 doubles in an opening service game and eventually held. i double faulted 3 times to open the match, won 4 points in a row (somehow), and i kept getting the ad, and couldn't put a serve into the ad court to save my life at that point, until i pretty much threw one in on my 7th or 8th game point and ended up winning the point.

what's worse was that this was a televised match from my high school days.

i ended up winning too, but i never had those kinds of troubles with my second serves before nor since.
