In breaking news, the courts laid down for the final of the davis cup are coming under increasing scrutiny. Training on the court has been scaled back to an hour a day, with some reports the court will not survive the 5 matches required.

Of course, the rules state, if the court does not hold up for the 5 matches, then the non-choice country wins, no matter the state of play. That would mean a french win.

The problem seems to be the court has not taken root as they had hoped and first looked as it would.
Lets hope it holds up, hate to see it decided that way.

it was a auwful idea to put a grass court on central court of Flinders Park so if it doesnt last,i'm glad cos they did a wrong choice,an absurd choice.
why they didnt choose to play on 1 real grass court?!!!

You should see it now, after 3 matches it is thread bare in many places. The French won't complain (2-1 up) but it is an awful court.
