Darija jumped over 50 ranking places this week after her Podgorica 25k points were added, to #435.

This week she's in action playing one 50k in France, and as the 8th seed of qualies she reached QR3. Along the way she beat Mohn (#845) and Baronova (unranked) to set up a clash with the 3rd seed Mraz (#375) whom she beat in their only previous match, 2 years ago. Mraz is close to her career high, so she's obviously in a good form, reaching semis on one Spanish 25k two weeks ago.

Even with just these 2 points Darija is guarateed to jump some 10 places on Monday, and with a MD spot she'd jump about 20 places.

She's also playing doubles, has a 1st round bye as the 4th seed.

Not defending any points here.

Good luck Darija:bounce:

In the first round she's playing former #120 (currently 221) Pichet, which she hasn't played yet. Sounds tough, but Pichet hasn't won a match since early June, so Darija might have a chance. Fingers crossed!

She's into semis of doubles with an easy 6:2 6:1 win! That will rise her to about #250 in the rankings (from current 276) and she only has to defend one semi and one final on 25k's by the end of this year (one in November, the other in December)!

Jurak won 6-2, 6-4:)
In the 2nd round her opponent is going to be No 3rd seed, German Kristina Barrois ranked 104 in the world...

Lost both, R2 of singles and semis of doubles, but still a good week it was; getting into top400 singles and top250 doubles! Well done!

Didn't rise quite as high as I expected in rankings, #401 in singles and #256 in doubles as of this week. She needs 4 points to overtake Lisjak at 390 in singles, and 18 points to overtake Pandzic at 226 in doubles. I think both will happen by the end of the year.

Darija is in France where she'll play a couple of tournaments in the weeks to come.

First off, qualies of Poitiers 100k, where in the 1st round she's drawn to play a local girl Benamar (currently #605, never higher than 582). Unfortunatelly, if she wins that, she'll play 3rd seed of qualies Margit Ruutel in the next:rolleyes:

Still don't know if she'll play doubles here.

Lost the QR2 in straight sets, but applied for doubles where in MD1 she and Ana Jovanovic will play 4th seeds Cetkovska/Safarova. So, hoping for a surprise there.

Darija is playing qualies of Nantes 50k. In the 1st round she beat Piquion (ranked 473), but in the second she'll face top seed Chakhnashvili (world's #222 and former #134) Good thing is, Darija leads h2h by 1:0. Bad thing is, that match happened 5 years ago on clay:lol:

Good luck:wavey:

Wow, Darija managed to beat Chakhnashvili, 63 26 62. Congratulations to her; that's her best win in a while.

In the final qualy round she plays the #8 seed, Feuerstein (FRA; #329), who has yet to lose a game in her first two matches. Hope Darija can do it.

She didn't make it to MD in singles, but had a nice start in MD of doubles, where she's playing with Zec-Peskiric. But after a straight sets win in the first round they're facing top seeds Jugic-Salkic/Voracova in the quarters. Hope they can make a surprise.

Jurak/Zec-Peskiric def. Jugic-Salkic/Voracova 6:7 6:0 10:2:woohoo:

This will push Darija some 30 places up the doubles rankings (to around 230) and she'll be Croatian #2 in doubles, overtaking Jelena Pandzic! No points to defend here, so it could get even better!

Good luck:bounce:

After a straight sets win, Darija is in her 5th doubles final of the season, but first on anything larger than 25k. Hope she takes her second title of the year. She and Zec-Peskiric will play 3rd seeds Dzehalevich and Fedak in the finals.

Good luck:wavey:

P. S. A title here would get her on the brink of top200!

No title this time unfortunatelly, but still a solid tournament overall.

Darija is already in quali draw for Ismaning 50k, plays a wildcarder Zaja in the first round. But she'll probably play a much more solid oposition in the form of 6th seed Frankova, as early as next round. Her energy levels are probably not great at the moment also, after 10 matches in two weeks. No points to defend here in singles, but there is 12 in doubles (semis of last year's 25k).

She easily won QR1 and in QR2 she's in fact playing Majeric of Slovenia, whom she beat in their only previous match, last year on clay of Maribor. Let's hope she can repeat that.

After a walkover against Majeric and a very convincing 6:2 6:1 win against 3rd seed and compatriot Vrljic (Darija's 4th consecutive win against her; Vrljic won only 1 set in 4 matches), Darija joined Beygelzimer, Hlavackova and Klaschka in the main draw! With 4 points won so far she'll move to around 375, and even higher if she beats Soler-Espinosa, her R1 opponent. A tough job it is (Spaniard won their only previous match, 2 years ago), but Darija is in a really good form, so who knows...

Ajmo Darija:bounce:

She joined forces with Ivanova in doubles where they're 3rd seeds.

Jurak def. Soler-Espinosa 6:1 6:2:eek::woohoo:

She lost the doubles though, but you can't have it all, right.

Whatever she's doing lately, hope she keeps doing it:lol:

Go girl:bounce:
