This really is the best of the best. No wonder tickets are selling rapidly.

Of course I think Daniela's going to win it but if she doesn't, I'd like to bet on Mauresmo.

What a event! Anna Pistolesi (I doubt- she is more a clay player), Krasnroutskaya, Stevenson, Raymond, Daniilidou, Likhovtseva and so on... These player's are also eventuelly threats for a big name in the first round. And Daniela needs also luck and her proper tenis, because as a tier II event it is looking more like a little grand slam!

Hello everyone! :wavey:

I wasn't for 3 days online. Now the draw for Filderstadt is out! Not so easy for Daniela. In the first round she will face a qualifayer- it's possible..... but than is waiting Kim Cljisters. But the big question is how much injured is she????  Maybe she can't play 100% or even won't play.... I hope for Daniela she can win that... Daniela has just the game to do so on every fast surefaces! If she wins that, this would be a big boost to her confidence. Remember Lina defeated her too and last year Daniela wasn't that far away from beating HER: Maybe a upset for the nr. 1. For Daniela it's just great, because all pressure is on the defending champion and world numer 1! So Dani try your best and TAKE HER OUT!
In the quarterfinal she could have a meeting with Mauresmo. She beat her last year in 3 in the Fedcup. Mauresmo lost in Moscow in the final against a superb Myskina 2-6, 4-6! :worship: :worship:
I will visit Filderstadt at friday.... :bounce: I hope to see Daniela in the quarters after a great win against the world nr. 1!!!!

Bye, Jan :wavey:

Well, Dani opens this campaign with a doubles match today.

Hantuchova/Rittner
vs
Huber/Maleeva (4)

Good luck girls :bounce:

Why with Rittner
I saw her playing double with Vento Kabchi against Dani and Babsi.... You know the result. I also don't like Rittner much....
But anyway- good luck girls!!!! :bounce: :bounce:

What time does it start/scheduled for?
It's the thrid match on Court 3. So since 1 p.m. local time they are playing. The first two matches are single' s qualifying...
So I would say maybe around 4 p.m. local time.

GO GIRLS!!!! :bounce: :bounce:
So I will watch the match on Eurosport! :worship:
I think it's very good to have such a tough opener. If she can take this one in 2, she will gain some confidence for the Cljisters match.

VELA STASTIA DANIELKA!!!!!!! DO TOHO!!!!! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
Yes a good start! :worship:
But I saw her playing in Leipzig so I'm not suprised at all. She really raised her game and proofed it today. Especially her second serve has improved alot. More spin, good kick and difficult to return. Her first serve looks also good. Beautiful variation (sometimes trough the middle, than to zhe side, good speed). Her backhand down the line was just perfect. Especially when Raymond had chances to break her she just raised her game and took alot of risk! Raymond had 6 chances to break her, but there was no chance for Lisa, because of Daniela's second and first serve and great winner's! There were only some easy mistakes by her forhand..... But on the other hand she took alot of great winner's
with her. Also her netgame was brilliant! So she is ready for Kim! And all the pressure is on Kim!

So Dani has to play just her best tenis and than we will see..... ;)

DANIELKA DO TOHO!!!!!!!!!!!
So Dani next will be a injured Kim! Let's move her from angel to angel, play short, lobs and so on. Just move her around and you will win!!!
YEAH and I will see you at friday in filderstadt supporting you to beat Mauresmo!!!! So Dani take the defending champion out!!!!!! :worship:

Unlucky Danielka, you did your best! :) :) :wavey:
Sorry guys but I'm wondering alot about your comments. First of all Daniela played very bad tenis today. She wasn't able to get her game together. So many UE's...... (many were very close to the line- but OUT is OUT!). Her first serve was owfull- no variation, low percentage...- poor performance is even too good..... She was playing without strategy and there wasn't even a big fight. It was just too easy for Kim. I think the problem is in her head. She wasn't free..... It was such a big difference to her performance against Raymond and in Leipzig. It's normal to lose as a Top 20 player against the number One- but NOT this way! She has to get it out of her mind and should continue the hard work. There are really alot of things she can improve, but first of all- the mental side. She just wasn't able to perform as she is able to! So she will now have to fear a further slumping in the ranking.... If everythink goes wrong, she will out of the Top 20 soon... (after Zürich or Linz)! But DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY! Such a extrodinary talented girl will come back for sure! The field now is more competive- player's like Zvonareva are on the move, also Bovina and so on.... So it will be tough to come back to the Top10, but I think she will achieve it until the End of next year. She remind me a bit of Dementieva, who moved fast into the Top10, than she fell back to 21 (or so) and she is a established Top 10 Player!

DANIELKA HLAVU HORE!!!!!!!! ZIVOT POJDE DALEJ!!!! VER NA SEBA!!!!
VELA STASTIA vo Zürichu a v Linzu a po poslednych tunieroch si oddychni a vrat sa dalsi rok s novou silou!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with you, she didn't play a good match at all. I saw the whole match and the Dutch commentator said Daniela only made 17 points in the whole match as opposed to Kim's 54 , and I really can't remember Daniela that they were good points by Daniela, rather a couple of double faults and mishits by Kim. There were a couple of close games at the start of the first set, but after Daniela lost serve for the second time, which made it 4-1 to Kim, she hardly made another point.

Kim played well though, you have to give her credit, but Daniela looked so despondent and helpless, already after only 5 games or so, I wonder what she was thinking ........ :awww: and probably this too :banghead:
:)

Anyway, next week's Zurich right? She'll just have to win that then ;)

Yeah I agree with you 100 %! I saw also the whole match in "my" fitnes studio....There we've also a goggle box... :p ! I was practising and happy to see a great match- but afterwords I was totally disapointed.... Why the hell she is everytime suffering against big opponents. In Antwerpen this year she played also such a bad set against Venus, but raised than her game alot in the second.... But today she wasn't there. She served bad (3 or more double fault's...... long time I havn't seen such a bad serve by Daniela). I asked myself after the first set- why the hell Danielka isn't able to perform as she could....... It's true that Kim played extrodinary well, but she won alot of games very easy.... Danielas return wasn't there. Although several times Kim had to go over her second serve. And so much UE's. I think Daniela simply made herself too much pressure. She tought, that she was able to compete with Kim- to give her a great fight.... But after the first break (although she the chance to win this game...... Easy backhand on Adv. into the net...), she was simply losing her confidence and didn't beleave in herself...... She made so many UE's and didn't move well on the court. Also she didn't try to change sth.- for exsample to take advantage of her superb netgame..... I didn't see her comming to the net.... Also she only tried to play long groundstrokes but without inspiration.... Only 3 times she tried the dropshot.... No changing of rythm, no slice and so...... Nothing really, what could have Kim suprised.....
So it isn't only bad luck....... It's alot more.......
Daniela beat only 3 Top- Ten Player's in 2002 (Henin, Dokic, Mauresmo at Fedcup) (plus Martina Hingis) and hasn't won against a Top10 Player since US Open 2002 (in 3 about Henin). This year she even hasn't defeated a Top 20 player yet.....
So for her it's important to beat good name's. A win about Patty in Leipzig would have been the beginning.... (but you know...)
So in order to gain confidence she need as soon as possible such a victory.....
Because how she was performing against Kim was also a question of confidence...... She wasn't confident with her serve, she wasn't confident with her overall game and looked to me a bit nervous at the beginning and than simply helpless!

So let's hope, things will be better soon....

Hi!!! :wavey:

I will write you a PM......

Tomorrow I will be in Filderstadt..... But I won't see Nastya again....
But Bovina and Dementieva :p

Bye, Jan

Hey Jan will you cheer real loud for Dementieva!! for me!! :p
YEAH I was cheering and clapping for her.... You know (or maybe not  ), that I also like how she plays. After she was upsetting Lindsay in such a great way in the final of A. Island I became a fan of her game. The only think I can't love is her serve.... There she has alot of work. If she can improve it, she will be stay in the Top 10 or even reach a Top 5 pos. in the ranking.
She played a suberb first set but the referre took the game from her.....
