Another top 100 win for Genie! Really didn't impress me tonight but she did what she needed to do. Glad she served the match out too! Galina was spreading errors left and right . Genie did well to make her run and made her stretch! Really a routine match for her, which is surprising. She'll play Wozniak next! She'll have played almost every canucks lol.

What a summer she has so far!! She doesn't have a lot of points to defend until the end of the year, I wonder where she will be at the end of the year. If she continue to beat top 100 players like she did so far this week, she could finish the year close to the top 100 I think! It would be interesting against Wozniak!

Watched this match. Genie was the more consistent player, her opponent seemed to have the match on her racquet but made a ton of errors and seemed to be a headcase. Bouchard's first serve helped even though she made DFs.

To be honest, Bouchard is nothing special, for me a youngster with no future so why is she so overrated?
I mean, she plays very randomly, her shot making abilities are limited (particularly on the bh side), she has no brain and makes many mistakes, her defense (important weapon in tennis nowadays) is bad.
Unless she makes some massive improvement, i don't see her top 20 in the future, not with the way she plays (well, anything is possible after all in this mug era...).
As for Voskoboeva, always the same: a clown of the hightest order.
