Amelie has now won her last 15 matches and 3 tournaments and is by far the world's #1 player at the moment.

It's great for her and should be praised for turning her mental game around. Today she was in control mentally against Kim.

But, we don't want to see the same player win titles week after week. Domination is never a good thing and it's gets boring. Amelie has a great game to watch but if it all gets predictable =

This isn't a hate thread but I think it's necessary to discuss.

Amelie isn't dominating. Just a month and a half ago, she lost in the opening round to a Serbian teenager.

But, she has won five of her last six tournaments - Philadelphia, YEC, AO, Antwerp, Paris

Mauresmo is ANYTHING but predictable!

Is nice to see her playing well and on a bit of a streak, however.

To you i say, Amelie deserves a long win streak, after the heartache and tough losses she has had to go through. Let her rack up as many titles as she is capable of winning, the number she could have had had she been a mentally tougher player for all these years.

Perhaps i am biased being an Amelie fan, but... let her have this, be it a year or just a few months. She is 26 year old, how much longer could her "domination" go on for?

She's had a great winning streak - but I don't call it domination. It's not like she's been overwhelming players. Look at when she played Tati. And Kim shouldn't be downhearted. Just a point here and there was the difference. It's not as if the top players don't believe they can beat Momo.

the rest of the tour needs too play, she's winning because nobody is playing and she know's it so i would not make too much of a big deal about her domination of the tour.
Huh? A 15 match streak in w/o's?

This is all perhaps premature for sure ... BUUUUUUUUT, it has been argued several times that the reason Amelie loses so much to big players if because she chokes. That isn't to say she isn't capable of beating that - but more that when it gets tight - she crumbles.

With her new found confidence - she has shown week after week she is not crumbling and believes in herself big time. She knows how to beat most of the big girls - although i'm not arguing with a full time feild she would dominate - i'm saying, her success isn't all down to "no-one playing" - but to her hard work and belief. I wouldn't be surprised is she won Dubai next week - and then would you be saying the same?
